Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System

Chapter 102 The Minionverse?

Worry crept up Cassius's icy face as he truly had no clue how to deal with something like this. It was beyond what he was equipped to manage. Though, luckily for him, the Idle Evolution System was there to make up for his insufficient knowledge.

*Ding~!*

[Everything listed in the System's logs is patented, backed, and insured by the Law of Idling! You can rest assured that none of it will have negative adverse effects for the Host!]

[^-^]

Cassius breathed a sigh of relief.

He would have been lying if he said he was 100% certain that he wouldn't spontaneously combust or something after progressing both Bloodlines to 100%. Fortunately, the sadistic system usually showed its usefulness in times like these.

Cassius was going to sincerely thank the Idle Evolution System, but then it followed up with:

[Now, if you'll stop being a wuss, go and slay more Demons! This time larger and stronger! Big and long! Long and hard!]

Silence.

Cassius truly didn't know why he bothered anymore. Simply breathing around the System would likely end up with him being mercilessly berated. Why had he even entertained the idea of giving his thanks? For all he knew, the System got off on being treated harshly.

Following through with that train of thought, he blatantly disregarded the System's existence.

He could've sworn he heard a female robotic moan, but that was probably just his imagination. Focusing on something else, he recalled all of his Evomon, with them quickly appearing before him less than two seconds later.

Cassius observed a few of them visibly sulk.

They had lost the trophies of their hunt, and all without ever knowing where they went. If not for their Liege's presence, it was highly probable that they would have crashed out right then and there. Yet, as if completely contradicting their innately destructive natures, they behaved themselves and even shrunk down to their human-sized forms.

None of them dared to stand too much higher than their Liege… That would be criminal…

'The hidden effects of the Evoballs truly are extraordinary,' thought Cassius as he silently appreciated his Evomon lineup. 'It almost makes it seem like I'm a Necromancer… Perhaps that'll be my Class?'

He had asked a while back, and according to the System, he would receive a Class Trial invitation as soon as he reached Level 100. As for the Class he would receive, it depended on both luck and the attributes he possessed as a person and as an Idler. Quoting the System, the better Idler he was, the more noteworthy his Class would be.

Now, that propped up the question: How was one supposed to be a good Idler?

Enjoy new tales from empire

The answer to that question was not a simple one, as Cassius had many ways to become a better Idler. There was the Trolling System Idle Benefit, completing the 'Push Yourself to Your Limits' Idle Benefit 1, improving the Relationship Ratings of every girl he had ever encountered, and Skill combining. On top of that, he could also train harder and experience greater amounts of pain, which the System enthusiastically encouraged.

Cassius was speechless.

Although he knew for certain that he had the Idle Evolution System, why did he feel like he had received anything but a System that had to do with Idling? Was there something seriously wrong with the naming sense of his System's creator?

*Ding!*

[The Idle Evolution System is named as such, because after unlocking all 9 Idle Benefits, the Host will be able to officially embark on the Idling Journey.]

[Until that point comes around, the Host is doing what's called an uhh… A Trial Run. Yes, that is the correct wording!]

"...And what happens if I don't pass the Trial Run…?" Cassius asked evenly.

[You will be… permanently erased!]

[Your replacement will then be located and will take your place! Though, the System is not optimistic about finding another Host…]

Cassius entered a state of deep thought, pondering a few things.

Suddenly turning his head up, startling the Evomons, he quietly asked, "What is the next Idle Benefit? And how do I go about unlocking it?"

*Ding!*n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

[The 4th Idle Benefit is known as 'Minion Verse,' and is the introductory version of the 6th Idle Benefit, which is the 'Grind Verse' Idle Benefit. Contrary to the 6th Idle Benefit, which focuses on the Host's power, the 4th Idle Benefit is related to subordinates/minions, preferably those with little to no intelligence. This will be your 'Idle Force.']

[The 'Minion Verse' is a separate System Dimension. Only those part of the 'Idle Force' can enter, and inside, they can both develop their individual power and work in order to develop things that can speed up their power acquisition.]

[In simpler terms, the Minion Verse is like an Idle Game. You start out with a 'Lvl 1 Idle Village' that has a singular 'Idle Point Dispenser'. The Dispenser drops out Idle Points at set intervals, and those Idle Points can be used to purchase other Idle Verse Facilities. The more Idle Facilities you have, the more you can upgrade the Idle Village.]

[As a result of upgrading the Idle Village, more Idle Force power training facilities can be unlocked. Such facilities include, but are not limited to, the 'Basic Idle Gym,' 'Basic Idle Track,' 'Basic Idle Torture Chamber,' and 'Basic Idle Ninja Training Grounds.']

[There are also more Auxiliary-type Idle Facilities, like the 'Basic Blacksmithing Forge,' 'Basic Artisan Shop,' 'Basic Leather Store,' 'Basic Alchemy Building,' and a plethora of other useful establishments that work to develop the Idle Force's unique attributes.]

[While on the subject of attributes, the higher the Idle Village Level, the higher the upper limit of the Idle Facilities is increased to. Subsequently, this leads to greater effectiveness in each Training Facility. For the 'Main Attribute' training Facilities, this increases the amount of 'Attribute Balls' that drop for each task successfully performed.]

[For example, chopping a wood chunk once would drop a single Lvl 1 Strength Attribute Ball, which would be used by the Idle Minion that performed the task. These same Attribute Balls could also be used as a form of currency among only the Idle Force. There is a limit to the effectiveness of lower-level Attribute Balls on higher-level Idle Minions, so selling or trading unneeded Attribute Balls is always viable.]
