Chapter 890: Blessed To Be Alive
Chapter 890: Blessed To Be Alive
Expert Gold Grade Pranic Beast-Boar King!
In terms of physical might, it was significantly stronger than an Empyrean Boar. Boar King wasn't created by evolving an Empyrean Boar. It was more like Blola's case. Boar King was created by diluting the power of the Empyrean Boar King.
Therefore, as long as YoriBuntara became a Boar King, Narkahamy could finally begin experimenting on the Boar King's physique and gain knowledge about Astral Chart.
Before the emergence of the Celestial Boar, Astral Chart used to be the strongest Nature on Sumatra. Even now, it still exhibited the pinnacle of power.
Physically, a Boar King was a decent amount stronger than an Empyrean Boar. However, the difference wasn't to the extent it could change the tides of an entire war. However, after becoming a Boar King, the respective Wean Clansman obtained this Nature.
Tertiary Nature-Astral Chart!
With it, the Boar King was able to stack multiple Natures to unleash power on a level that was nigh unstoppable.
After becoming the Emperor, Narkahamy rampantly created and distributed his Vara to ensure as many Free Humans as possible could obtain his build. Following that, he drained the Empire's resources to stabilise their strength as quickly as possible, so that these Free Humans could produce Vara and manage their own forces.
Even the Varahan Empire didn't have enough resources to sustain an entire population of Gold Grade Free Humans. Most of the citizens in the Empire had Silver Grade strength, same as usual. Even this was on a whole other level as compared to other forces.
Only those declared City Lords had Gold Grade strength. And it was only they and their respective family members that had Gold Grade strength. Narkahamy ensured the City Lords had his complete build.
Hence, they could manage their cities and allocate enough Vara for the uses of everyone. And every city had dispatched at least one Gold Grade Free Human to face the Wean Clan that had been steadily driven towards the Varahan Enclave.
Thanks to the actions of Binala and Kvirala, a horde of problems plagued the Empire. Narkahamy merely altered the narrative and pushed the blame on the carelessness of the Wean Clansmen. And by repeatedly stomping upon the nerves of the Wean Clansman, he successfully incited the latter's anger.
The moment the Wean Clansmen harmed Free Humans, hatred was built up, and the rest went as planned. As the days spanned past, even the Free Humans with strong sentiments towards the Wean Clan were beginning to waver.
At the end of the day, they were Free Humans while the other party were Clansmen. It was impossible to see eye to eye when those in power purposefully tried to wedge a blade of hatred between them.
Narkahamy was successful in his campaign. However, even the Gold Grade Free Humans personally granted Blessed Influence by him were defeated by a single Boar King. That was how powerful Astral Chart was.
Based on reports, the Boar King had an 8-Life Stage cultivation. That stack already strengthened whatever ability he unleashed. Atop it was the fact that he could also stack 8 Natures. This two-layered stack resulted in the Wean Clan's recent victory.
Shredded Lunge, an Iron Grade Nature was enough to change the state of war. It was a portion of strength wielded by Brangara, so it made sense, 'We're competing within the realm of Gold Grade. But whether it be the First Varahan Emperor or the Mystic Seven, they operate at a level beyond the power system.'
'That's why this is important.' He smiled and gently trailed his hand across YoriBuntara's hair, 'By researching Astral Chart, I can glean insight into the realm in which these prodigies operate.'
Not for an instant did he consider himself on par with the Mystic Seven, despite his accomplishments. The reason was the expectations placed upon him. The Royal Zinger expected him to enter the Mystic Grade. Therefore, Narkahamy didn't intend to slack off until The reached the pinnacle.
'Once I research Astral Chart, I can finally begin using Natures as a stack within my Blessed Influence.' Narkahamy thought with a smile, "Keep working hard until you become a Boar King. I believe in you."
"Thank...you," YoriBuntara nodded, twisted into servitude towards Narkahamy. She watched as Narkahamy gently lifted her hand and peeled off the index finger's nail, not even flinching at the pain since she had been subjected to it too many times.
"There's something I need to check," Saying so, Narkahamy headed to a microscopic apparatus created using Vara. Using it as a Spirit Container, he poured Prana into it and then seeped a Blessed Influence that created an eye.
This eye hovered over the nail, observing it while its lens gradually morphed in size, zooming into the nail's structure.
Blessed Influence-Micro Eye!
Micro Eye allowed him to perceive the grain structure of an object, which was extremely useful in his research endeavours. The best thing about this Blessed Influence was that it could only be unleashed through an apparatus made with Vara. It doubled as both a Spirit Weapon and an Information Slip.
Therefore, as long as Narkahamy's Prana flowed through the apparatus, everything perceived by the eye was recorded within the Information Slip. This way, he could revisit the information as many times as he needed.
'There's some more changes today.' Narkahamy concluded after an hour of observation, recording all the data in his library. This was one of his daily tasks, to observe the changes in YoriBuntara's body as she cultivated using Mystic Sumatra Art.
He had knowledge of Mystic Sumatra Art, but couldn't use it, for the cultivation technique was most effective on Pranic Beasts, followed by Clansmen. Unless he had a piece of Sumatra Gold, he couldn't take advantage of the cultivation technique.
However, that didn't matter, since he planned to take his insights of Mystic Sumatra Art and then feed it into his cultivation technique-Gold Inheritance Art!
Gold Inheritance Art was the official cultivation technique of the Varahan Empire, created by Yarsha Zahara. It was a solid cultivation technique, since it was mostly based on Mystic Bone Art.
The majority of its function was to inherit and store Natures in the Human Avatars of the Free Humans practicing it. But there was plenty of room for growth. He had zero guarantees of completing it within his lifetime, but Narkahamy intended to improve it as much as possible.
The Brimgan Empire spent many eras developing Gold Kinesis Art and made it the most robust of cultivation techniques. And now that it had been elevated into Mystic Kinesis Art, it became the strongest cultivation technique a Free Human could practice.
Narkahamy admired that fact about the Brimgan Empire, of how every Brimgan Emperor, generation after generation, all worked towards the same goal and kept adding in their insights and breakthroughs into the collective.
Eventually, an unparalleled genius in the name of Boul Brimgan was born in their midst. To satisfy the birth of such an individual, a robust foundation was necessary.
Gold Inheritance Art, Narkahamy's build for the City Lords and their families, and Blessed Influence for all soldiers; this was the current plan.
In his name, he had also opened many academies of research and development specific to developing Gold Inheritance Art, creating Skills and eventually completing Prime Skills.
They would also research how the influence generated by storing a Nature in their Vara Human avatar would interact with the influence produced by other Natures and tally all sorts
of combinations.
They were pivotal to the creation of new varieties of Blessed Influence.
After collating his thoughts, Narkahamy entered his training room, an enclosed space in the shape of a cube spanning a side of 200 metres. It was situated underground, fully shielded to prevent any information leak.
Cracking his neck, Narkahamy inhaled a deep breath and paused, gradually masking his presence. Heat, scent, sound, he began to mask them one after another. And finally, when it came to appearance, his figure began to blend into the background, camouflaging itself.
The walls of the training room were fitted with a series of scrolls, each depicting a certain landscape painting. There were hooks and pulleys made out of Vara at the top to control them.
A thought from him and one of the scrolls randomly unfurled itself, displaying a greenish- brown marshland with small bubbling pools. Immediately in response, Narkahamy modified his camouflage, causing the patterns covering his skin to resemble the bubbling ripples amidst strands of grass painted on the scroll.
His actions were perfect, but his expression exhibited dissatisfaction. 'I was a tenth of a
second too late. That's more than enough for a Gold Grade Pranic Beast to detect my location and launch an attack at me.'
Moreover, through psychokinesis, Narkahamy flapped the scroll once, rippling the image. He then sighed, watching that his camouflage wasn't able to keep up with the changes as his figure became apparent to sight. 'I'm still too far off from being prepared.'
With a thought, another scroll unfurled itself, displaying a rocky cavern with dim lights. He hurriedly camouflaged himself, observing that he fared better for this scenario. The scrolls that would unfurl was random, as that's how he designed the overall apparatus to be.
This way, he'll truly be prepared for the changes.
After camouflaging training, he crouched on the floor and sprinted, using psychokinesis to
actuate a switch as an obstacle course appeared before him. It consisted of a series of
shuttling rocks. The gravity within the room became turbulent as the effects of Drifting Tunnel were unleashed from multiple angles.
Rocks flew at him from all directions as Narkahamy relied only on his physical strength to evade, intending to elevate his basic reflexes to the peak, 'The biggest disadvantage of Free Humans is our fragile human bodies. Without activating my Human Avatar, even my body is
damn fragile.'
For a moment, he thought of YoriBuntara's body, 'She's a Clansman. Even though she's not a
Pranic Beast who is using Cultivator to attain a human from, her base body is still many times stronger than me. It contains characteristics of her Empyrean Boar form's strength.'
'Is there any way to achieve a similar effect on my body too?' He pondered while a few rocks
fractured his limbs, forcing him to scurry around ungracefully until he healed. 'I can use a Blessed Influence that can passively strengthen my body, but it's too dangerous. The influence will consume me eventually.'
Blessed Influence was an extremely powerful ability, but at the end of the day, it was merely
Narkahamy being able to control influence. His body, mind, and soul were still subjected to the influence. Thereby, if he was careless, it was just a matter of time before he'll become a puppet to the influence and go mad.
Therefore, a passive Blessed Influence was too dangerous, 'Which means my only option is to
figure out a way a portion of my Human Avatar's strength can flow into my body. That way, my human form doesn't have to be so fragile.'
Currently, despite his oppressive strength, Narkahamy could be killed by an ambush or
assassination attempt. As long as he was in his human form, even Silver Grade Pranic Beasts could casually kill him. That was the biggest weakness of Free Humans, 'Even if not at theNôv(el)B\\jnn
level of a Pranic Beast's robustness, I should still try to strengthen our bodies, no matter how
little.'
"But that's exciting!" He burst into laughter, "To research and grow endlessly, that's what it
means to live life fruitfully!"
"I'm blessed to be alive!"
What do you think?
