Chapter 696: Under and Sky [Bonus]
Chapter 696: Under and Sky [Bonus]
[Under Brown (FFF+)]
[Level: 33]
[Physical: 1303]
[Mental: 935]
[Will: 912]
A man with buzzcut hair and what looked like a dozen daggers strapped onto various locations on his body-from his waist, to his chest, to his ankles-pushed a naked woman off of him, standing abruptly as he saw the notification.
'Sylas Grimblade...'
Under picked his pants up off the floor, gaining another half a dozen daggers from the action of pulling them up alone.
Frustrated by the fact his member was still standing at attention and wouldn't fit, he forcefully tucked it into his belt, tightening it.
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"
He regretted the action immediately and did a little dance trying to untighten it as he rushed out.
The underground encampment was already bustling. Under didn't need to give out any orders, everyone already understood the assignment.
His tent flaps rippled, and the sight of a naked woman bent over caught the attention of the men rushing by. They couldn't help but pause their steps, trying to catch a glimpse past Under.
Under wasn't the burliest of men. In fact, he was quite a lanky sort of powerful. At 5'10" or so, he wasn't a single pound over 150 or so, and that made him quite easy to look around.
"Keep looking and I'll have to cut a few cocks off," he growled.
A giggle came from the woman he had thrown off of him not too long ago. She wiggled her hips as though to give everyone a little show before sliding her panties on.
Whistles came from the surroundings, and Under could only roll his eyes.
"Treat me with more delicate care in the future or I'll have to choose someone else," the woman chortled.
"Piss off, vixen. We've got work to do. Forget your looks for a second, there's a big payday on the horizon."

Sky pushed her way out of the tent, rolling purple lipstick onto her plump lips.
"This won't be easy. Handsome will be immune to my poison."
"Can't you call him by his name like everyone else? And how can you even know that?"
"Does it matter if you know who I'm talking about? I can just feel it."
"You've never met him."
"But do I need to?"
"If your poison won't work on him, this will make things more dangerous."
"You know, it's possible to just ignore the Quicktime Event," Sky chortled. "I was just getting in the mood. Maybe you should start calling him Handsome too since you abandoned me to go chase him."
The men burst out into laughter as black lines appeared on Under's forehead.
Under took a breath and exhaled. "This shindig is really going to be a blender. We're not going to get directly involved, we're just going to see if there's an opportunity. Call the scouting units back. We'll move as a single unit."
After Under handed out his orders, the laughing atmosphere faded and they all burst into action.
"How sure are you?" Under asked Sky again, more seriously this time.
"The poison weapons I've helped us make will definitely be worthless. As for my more unique poisons... well, he will at least have to put some effort into dispersing them, but I'm not even sure about that. If you really want to deal with him, we'll need time to plan. But the nature of a Quicktime Event doesn't allow that."
"Hm..." Under's eyes narrowed. "... How do you feel about doing the opposite?"
"As in helping him?"
"Yeah. Our methods might not work on him, but what about the government? The Snail Queen trump card might be worth using right now."
Sky showed some hesitation. "Didn't you read the Description?"
Under didn't answer immediately, looking off into the distance.
"Do you think the system is infallible? If it was, why would there be alien Races here in the first place? A bit unfair, don't you think. A little fledgling world having to face off against things that were only in your fantasy books a year ago."
Sky's expression suddenly changed as she realized something.
"They approached you!"
Under grinned. "Those bastards had quite a good offer."
"Where'd you tell 'em to shove it."
"Up that plump ass of yours."
Sky laughed. "A bastard like you really would say that."
"But I did find out something. Second Flame is compromised. What are the odds that Sylas Grimblade would appear here and suddenly be targeted for wanting to kill a 'Seedling' and have it be completely unrelated to them?"
"Pretty good, actually." Sky replied.
"Yeah, but it's 50/50. Either he's targeting a member of the government, or Second Flame. And even if it was the government, those bastards are just as dirty."
"So what? We're putting our necks out to help him?"
"Of course not. Like I said, we're looking for an opportunity. Even if he's on Earth's side, if we can benefit from this Quicktime Event, why not kill him? Did you see the Event Type? Merit Blitz? We might shoot to the top of the Merit Leaderboards if we killed him. How much
money is that a day?"
Sky's eyes sparkled.
"But, we can also take an opportunity to help him if it presents itself. But that will depend. The highest odds right now... is that we do nothing."
Under's gaze blazed with a fiery light. This was an opportunity for his Grimy Blade gang for
sure.

Sylas could feel the walls closing in. Although he hadn't run into another group after the first three, he felt as though someone was breathing down his neck.
His Luck was constantly pinging him to the danger, but he had no choice but to ignore it. At this point, the danger was everywhere and there was no escaping it.
And then came the heat.
The deeper he went, the more oppressive it became. He knew that he was closing in on the
volcano Portal.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
The last time he was here, he had been the enemy of the world. And now it seemed that
history would repeat itself.
Sylas inhaled a smoldering breath that threatened to char his throat.
Before him, there was a forest of trees with thick red foliage that stretched as far as the eye
could see.
'There's no barrier here... the Quicktime Event extends into the Portal... could she be on the
other side?'
The last time Sylas had participated in a Quicktime Event, it had also occurred through a Portal. It seemed that the system was truly intent on screwing him over this time. Would it use his System Curse to turn the snail into a Bronze beast like it had the Violet Rose
Heart if he tried to pursue this route?
Sylas clenched his jaw.
He already had his answer.
The blaring warnings of his Luck only sparked more fiercely, echoing in his ears like the roars
of a nagging mother.
Sylas took a step forward, his Will blazing like a torch in the middle of the night. By the time
he took his second step, he had already accelerated to his top speed, streaking across the
forest in a line of black.
The last time he was here he cowered.
This time... he would permanently erase that stain.
The system, the government, alien Races...
No one would stand in his way.
