Chapter 999 - Lousy Fight
Alex's smile made the two angry. However, they also couldn't act recklessly because Alex had suppressed a Rank 6 God with his Rank 8 God strength alone. Although it was due to his Pure Fire, he still required Divine Energy to keep the suppression going.
That was why the two glared at him, keeping their distance.
Alex made the first move by taking off his ring. He turned around and threw it in Aria's direction as powerful as possible while saying. "That's what you want, right?"
"!!!" Quila gritted his teeth and tried to come after it, but the elder suddenly called his name. "Young master."
Alex's presence was near him, and by the time he moved, he was right behind him, slashing his sword.
"Tch!" Quila clicked his tongue and parried the attack with his sword, albeit he wasn't strong enough.
Alex blew him to the ground, creating a huge crater. The Rank 7 God elder also tried to attack him to make sure Alex couldn't release another attack that would endanger Quila.
Although he could handle this attack, Alex's purpose here was to die, so he intentionally got blown away while looking at the elder with an angry look.
"As expected… You can only suppress Elder Ron because you have Pure Fire. Other than that, you are only a Rank 8 God while I am a Rank 7 God. This one rank difference is too big to be covered." The elder pointed his sword.
Alex gritted his teeth and raised his weapon. "I will show you if my strength is qualified to fight a Rank 7 God or not…"
Alex headed straight to the elder and attacked him from close range, trying to match his speed.
The elder was slightly surprised that Alex could keep up with him, but he knew that it took his all just to stop the attacks, so Alex was still considered lower than him.
By this time, Quila had recovered and threw a spear toward Alex from the ground.
"Lightning God Spear!"
The spear to the sky, but Alex managed to avoid it completely, albeit that seemed to be a distraction from Quila, so the elder could attack Alex in that opening.
Alex narrowed his eyes and parried it, getting blown away again.
"Mythical Fire Slash."
He chose to use the weaker techniques than his Blade of Extinction to make him look weaker.
When the elder saw this, he raised his off-hand and released a sword from his body. It was made of lightning and hit the Sword Wave right in the middle. The lightning soon showed its supremacy and penetrated the Sword Wave and flew toward him.
"…" Alex maintained his silence and released another Sword Wave, but toward Quila instead.
The elder who noticed it immediately went to Quila to help him. Unfortunately, it hit Quila first.
The latter still tried to block this powerful attack but to no avail. It slowly overpowered him and pressed him even further.
Before the Sword Slash won, the elder had arrived and destroyed the Sword Wave.
"You Bastard!" Quila clenched his spear.
"It's literally him who says that each rank has a huge gap. It means the gap between Rank 8 God and Rank 10 God is far bigger than between him and me." Alex smiled before glancing at the elder that had been powerless until now. "Including him!"
While talking with them, he already sent another Sword Wave toward the elder, who could only kneel down.
"Not good!" The elder decided to bring Quila together with him to protect the elder. As soon as he reached there, he said, "Young Master. Please leave him to me. Young Master should bring the elder to leave this place to move away from the suppression."
"Do you think I will let you?!" Alex smiled and moved to another position, so he could unleash another strike to target these two who were weaker.
"Mythical Fire Slash."
The elder started getting annoyed by him. He never expected that someone who they thought they could easily kill turned out to be someone stronger than his young master, and their gap was huge.
He couldn't allow such a person to live for another day because he would become the ultimate disaster for his family.
Sticking together with Quila, he blocked another attack from Alex while maintaining his pace. However, Alex kept following them and tried attacking them from a few directions.
Suddenly, the elder took out a single scroll from his Space Ring and Quila took it.
"This…" He was surprised to see what scroll it was.
Knowing that Alex would keep following them, he decided to trust the elder's choice and used the array.
A huge array appeared before them, surrounding them with a translucent barrier that made them stuck inside the sphere like a trapped bird.
But the elder knew what he needed to do and immediately deactivated the Array that allowed him to restrict Alex's Teleportation Array Plate. He didn't think about it and showed Alex his back, fully trusting the power of the array.
"Take him away. I am not sure, but that butler must have gone already. That's why I am afraid you two can only watch from afar." The elder sighed.
The Rank 6 God seemed to understand that too. As long as Alex had that Pure Fire, he would just be a burden.
"In that case, we will try to bring reinforcement around us. There should be a few God Rank Experts not far from him. If we can bring them here within half an hour, we should be able to win this and kill that bastard." Quila nodded in understanding before using the Teleportation Array without hesitation.
Suddenly, Alex struck the barrier like a newbie, only to find himself getting repelled by it. He didn't care about this and kept attacking the array until it started cracking.
When the elder sensed this, he turned away and faced Alex directly outside the barrier, making sure that the two could escape.
Alex watched how these two fled and became sure they wouldn't chase Aria. After all, he had bought enough time to return to the sect with the Teleportation Array and changed back to the real Aria.
Meanwhile, Alex kept fighting the Rank 7 God with all his strength until Alex utilized the fox behind him.
The fox slapped the elder with its paw, sending him away. Of course, in this fight, he didn't use Eve because it would be weird if he decided to leave it behind to make the proof more believable.
At the same time, the Space Ring he threw earlier was an empty Space Ring while the rest of the items were stored inside his Inventory. Even if someone found it, they wouldn't find anything.
And this fight was something he never cared about and didn't want it to last too long because it would raise another suspicion from others, especially from the Unsurpassed Blade Sect. That was why in this fight, he had yet to get serious.
A few minutes later, slowly but surely, the elder managed to force Alex to use most of his Divine Energy, weakening him.
From time to time, the elder managed to take control of the whole situation and made bruises after bruises on Alex's skin.
Alex had no choice other than to move a bit further from this place as if he got pressured by him. Suddenly, he used all his strength to blow the elder away for one last time.
"You bastard…" Alex shouted out loud.
"No need to try hard. You will die here. I won't let you live to see another day." The elder narrowed his eyes. "If you are smarter, you might be able to destroy my Siko Family in the future, but it seems to be impossible for you."
"Your arrogant knows no bounds. There is no telling who will lose!" Alex clenched his teeth. "Remember this. If I can escape from this situation, I will make sure to erase the Siko Family from this world. Even if the Elemental Sect stands in my way, I won't fear. No, I will also destroy them if they dare to stop me!"
"Empty words. You will die." The elder became more impatient when he felt Alex was talking because he just wanted to buy time. He raised his sword again, ready for another round.
Following his movement, Alex also raised his stance. When the two were about to clash, Alex turned around and flew away.
"There is no chance for you to escape." The elder managed to grasp his idea and followed right behind him.
There were many attacks coming toward him just to slow him down. However, not only he managed to destroy them all, but he also sent enough attacks to stop Alex.
Having no more choice, Alex engaged him again while moving back to get closer and closer to the so-called "reinforcement."
Unfortunately, that reinforcement never came and made him panic while the elder raised his strength even further because he didn't know Alex had no reinforcement.
After a few minutes, he arrived at the cliff that he thought was a perfect place to fake his death. With his rough face, he glared at the elder. "Let's have a deal. I will leave from here and give you back the Lightning Brit Root."
"Hmph! Do you think I am a fool? Lightning Brit Root is not enough to trade for your life!" The elder snorted and raised his sword.
"In that case, there is nothing I should say anymore. I will kill you here and destroy your entire family." Alex released his killing intent again and charged at him.
The two then began their clash again, which seemed to be ending soon because Alex's condition looked very weak.
The elder continued overpowering him and not letting him have any rest. Alex also tried his best, but the conclusion came so suddenly. The elder's sword had its own tip covered with blood because it pierced Alex's heart.
"This is the end. You won't be able to defeat me even with your Pure Fire. This is the true gap between God Rank Experts." The elder snorted and said coldly.
Alex's expression was that of despair, telling the elder he would die at any moment. The unwillingness in his face was soon replaced by helplessness, but he didn't stop there. Considering he was right at the cliff, he grabbed the elder's hand and pulled him to the cliff.
The fox released its power and turned into a fireball, or it looked that way. The fireball had powerful energy inside that would endanger his life, so the elder immediately pulled back his sword and wanted to get away.
Alex was already helpless and wanted to drag him down together.
"Sun Descent."
Unfortunately, he was already too late. The fireball exploded right before them, enveloping the two in that huge explosion that would even destroy the surrounding forest.
"No!"
