Chapter 1050 - Regret

"…" Alex was speechless. Even Axis, a seven years old kid, was more sensible than her.

Alex looked at the old man and asked with a calm expression. "Let me ask you. If random people came to you, would you stop and ask them what they needed?"

"…" The old man closed his eyes and sighed.

"What?! How dare you?" The woman was raring to beat Alex.

"Just like you, there will be a time where you are on the bottom. If you can't even do it, don't expect people to do the same. Or what? Is it due to your influence or whatsoever are you qualified to do it? That's something insignificant in my eyes." Alex shrugged.

"It seems I have disturbed you. I would like to apologize for that action."

"And it's better to not spoil her too much. Learn some humility because it might become the biggest downfall one can have." Alex shook his head in disappointment and turned around, planning to move.

"You Bastard!" The woman gritted her teeth.

When she was about to attack Alex, Alex added. "If you choose to act, don't regret it later. I am not someone who will give you a face or treat you better just because of gender difference."

"Wait, An. Stop." The grandfather stopped his granddaughter.

"Wha—Grandpa? Why? This guy just disrespected you. If he knows who you are, he will lick your shoes."

"…" Suddenly, a kid with oversized clothes walked toward Alex and asked, "Mister…What are you doing? Are you going to lick his shoes?"

"You are taking the matter too seriously." Alex patted his head while smiling.

"But isn't this a serious matter? The other party is ganging up on you. They are just like the bullies in my village?"

"Heh! Country bumpkin. I see now why you have no manner." The woman kept spouting a bunch of nonsense.

Alex let out a long sigh and looked at the old man. "If you don't shut up your granddaughter soon, I am afraid that you will regret it deeply. And I don't understand what do you mean by country bumpkin…At the very least, what I know is this kid more sensible than your granddaughter."

Axis tilted his head. "Mister. The old man seems to have no intention to stop her. That woman is harboring hatred while the guy seems to want to release his killing intent. I don't know why the old man doesn't stop her despite having only three months to live?"

"You shouldn't say something about someone's lifespan unless they want to know, it's rude. Apologize to them."

"It's rude?" Axis became even more confused. "I am just stating the fact. The wound inside his stomach is going to deteriorate even further and his health will collapse soon. Besides, I am not rude. The one who is really rude is her."

"Don't be a smartass. Apologize first." Alex smiled and patted his head.

Axis hesitated and bowed to the old man. "I am sorry. I was rude."

Meanwhile, the old man was in complete shock. He just couldn't believe that a kid actually diagnosed his health with just a glance.

"What did you say? How dare you curse my grandfather?! I will be teaching a kid like you a manner." The woman finally jumped forward as she couldn't endure the humiliation anymore.

When Axis saw the incoming slap, he simply moved to the side before taking out a few needles, stabbing a few spots on her hand.

The next moment, the woman lost the feeling of her arm as she couldn't move her arm anymore.

"Ah! I can't move my arms."

Alex only took a glance at it and asked. "Your Teacher taught you that technique in the past year?"

"Yes. She taught me how to diagnose with pulse and appearance along with some basic acupuncture techniques." Axis nodded.

"That's good. Let's go now." Alex nodded and took his hand.

However, it didn't stop there. The middle-aged man shouted. "What did you do to our Young Miss? Return her to the normal state or Xi Family won't let you off."

Alex facepalmed and ignored him.

"Mister. I think I have a dream now."

"What is it?"

"I want to create a technique to cure idiocy."

"That's a good dream. I don't know about the direct approach, but there are several ways of doing it like wiping one's memory and something like that. So, I guess you want the direct approach?"

"Yes. I will be focusing on the brain." He nodded with a smile.

These two kept ignoring whatever they spouted until the old man opened his mouth. "I am sorry, Young Man. This old man is in the wrong. I didn't teach my granddaughter well, but she is still young. How about treating her back and using this experience to teach her? I think this will be enough."

"And what? After that you are going to ask us to treat you?" Alex snorted. "After I told you all that, why did you not stop her? And as I said, I am not someone who will give someone's face, so regret your whole life. Kill me? You are welcomed, but don't just beg for your lives in the future."

"I have it enough!" The middle-aged man was the one charging at him.

Alex shook his head in disappointment, especially after sensing his killing intent.

"I am wondering what you are showing to me is your killing intent?" Alex turned around and released his killing intent. "This is the real killing intent."

The middle-aged man froze when he sensed his killing intent.

'What is this? Why can a young man like him generate this killing intent? How many people has he killed? One hundred? One thousand? No!' He thought as if he was drunk into the madness. His feet went limp as he began to gasp for breath.

He fell to the ground as foam came out of his mouth.

Alex finally retracted his killing intent with a calm expression, making the grandfather and his granddaughter confused.

"Young Man…What did you do?!" The old man tried to stop him again.

"It's better to stop, old man. My patience has its limit." Alex narrowed his eyes.

The old man didn't know why but words stuck in his lung. Even when he tried to stop him with his body, it refused to move.

Alex finally found Silvia who had finished changing. When the two saw her, they couldn't believe how pretty Silvia was. Even the grandfather couldn't compare his granddaughter with such a person.

"What are you doing?" Silvia tilted her head in confusion when looking at the trio who obviously had their own problems. The moment she found the needles she gave Axis on the woman's hand, she understood what was going on. "I see. You don't need to explain."

"You are not going to treat them, right?"

"It's true that I am a doctor. However, just like the patients can choose which doctor they will visit, I can choose which person I want to treat." Silvia shrugged. "Besides, I know that you are not an aggressive person, so they must have done something bad."

"Thanks for the trust." Alex smiled.

Silvia then patted Axis's head. "You are so good now you can use it, albeit one of the most important needles hit slightly out of the spot. It should be recoverable. Want me to teach her a lesson? After all, my student is not easy to bully."

Axis tugged her hand and shook his head. "Please, don't. This just means that I don't have enough skill to do this basic thing. Besides, our main job is to save people, not bully people."

"Right?" Silvia smiled. "You are so sensible. If it were me, they all wouldn't be able to talk or move anymore. They wouldn't be able to spread another chain of hate that way since no one can tell the tale despite seeing anything.

"Anyway, I don't think I need to do anything. The reason for that old man taking a walk in the morning is because this is the only thing that can lessen his pain. I bet he has begun coughing up blood every night."

Alex flicked her forehead. "Alright. That's enough. We need to find clothes for Axis."

"Fine."

The three then headed straight to the city.

Meanwhile, the old man dropped on his butt as he began coughing. His face turned pale, and he began to regret what he did.

He simply wanted to test Alex's strength by letting his granddaughter strike him, but it seemed that it was his biggest blunder that he committed right on his deathbed.

He looked at his granddaughter, who was still glaring at their back as if she wanted to kill them.

"Granddaughter. It's better to stop. You are simply going to die if you try to do anything." He finally stopped her. At the very least, his granddaughter could still recover from what happened no matter how long it took. And they could check in a big hospital, so he decided to not offend Alex.

That guy was a mystery. He reduced his bodyguard into something like that with a single glare. His granddaughter would have died if that man really made his move.

"But…"

"Enough. I said it's enough. I am the one who is at fault. At least, you have the chance to recover." He sighed.

She only lowered her head while thinking about how to kill Alex.

On the contrary, Silvia posed a question to him. "Why did you teleport us here? I mean, there should be many places you can teleport us, right?"

"I don't know…Maybe because this world resembles my hometown so much that I miss this kind of feeling?" Alex let out a long sigh. "To think it influences my course of action. I made a blunder."

Axis saw the sadness in Alex while Silvia comforted him. "It's fine. Even if they know about our appearance, it doesn't make any difference other than you wearing your mask. If they are facing Lin Xingzhi or any other people from Eulja, I bet they have destroyed the entire area."

Alex shrugged. "I am not here for creating chaos."

"Fair enough. It's a shame that I can't ask for money from them by treating that old man since it is the basic necessities for us."

"Well, it's not like we need money to travel." Alex looked at the sky. "Have you traveled in the sky without involving Spiritual Energy?"

Silvia narrowed her eyes and shook her head. "No."

"The reason I want to get money is to show you that. I want you to enjoy this world while searching for treasures." Alex put on a gentle smile. "Well, there should be many opportunities in the near future. We can take one of them."

Silvia agreed. "So, where are we going?"

"Before that, I want to know the technique you use to talk with someone," Alex asked.

"No, no. I should be the one asking that. You should know that we have a common tongue, right?"

"Yes."

"We have been communicating with the common tongue. However, I often heard you are talking in another language. After a few investigations, I couldn't find any trace you are using that array."

"That array?" Alex tilted his head in confusion.

"Yes. The array that can allow you to understand someone's language. The concept is a bit complicated, but it's pretty useful for traveling. But you…You don't have anything like that as if you know about their language."

"Ah…" Alex remembered when someone told him how useful the ability he got from the Lower World was. It allowed him to speak and understand any language.

"Look at this earring." She pointed at her green-colored earring. If he took another look at it, he found an array instilled inside it.

"This is the array to understand one language. Basically, it translates everything to your brain and uses the word you speak into another world's language. Don't ask me the details, I don't understand." She shrugged. "Axis also has one."

"No wonder." Alex smiled. He never thought about asking this type of question, but now that it was clear, he felt better.

The trio then went to the city for Axis's clothes.
