Chapter 1044 - Solving The Misunderstanding

As soon as Alex left the world, he broke the crystal that Silvia gave in their parting. He made sure to dust from the crystal inside his Divine Energy.

Suddenly, the dust had the urge to move to his right.

"It's this way?" Alex furrowed his eyebrows and summoned the Holy Emblem while creating the rest of the symbols for his Teleportation Array. It shortened the time he needed to create the Array, so his journey felt a lot faster.

Still, Alex kept using his Teleportation Array for one day already and the dust kept pointing in the same direction.

He believed in what Silvia gave and kept following the direction it pointed at until two days later, he finally arrived at the farthest world he had ever come. He never used his Teleportation Array for this long to barely reach the place. Other than Encore, who was significantly farther due to the existence of the Black Hole, this was his farthest trip.

Alex furrowed his eyebrows and found out that the world before him was also a Divine World, but the energy wasn't as powerful as Eulja.

"Maybe this world is like the Devil World…Yes, I believe it is. Rank 5 God is the limit, I guess?" Alex tilted his head and smiled. "She indeed has thought it through. Although she said she wants to live peacefully for a while, she has chosen the world carefully. In this world, no one can threaten her, and escaping is very possible if the need arises. Anyway, it's reassuring that she is doing just fine this whole time."

Alex used his Teleportation Array again to sneak inside the world after making sure that there wasn't any influence or whatsoever where he landed.

He appeared inside a forest and needed to shift his balance a bit because of the slope.

"Hmm…Where should I go now?" Alex muttered while looking at the dust, trying to see where to go.

Suddenly, he heard footsteps from behind.

"Mister. Who are you?"

Alex turned around and found a small boy walking with a basket filled with medicinal herbs. The boy had short black hair and quite rugged clothes after moving around the hill to grab the herbs.

"I am…" Alex fell silent and smiled. "I am searching for someone…"

The moment he said it, he felt the dust move as if pointing toward the top of the hill.

He didn't know whether it was really on top of the hill or somewhere else in the sky, he decided to answer him honestly. "I am searching for someone. Apparently, she is there."

He pointed at the top of the hill. Whether he was right or not, he didn't tell a lie.

"Hmm?" The boy tilted his head. "Are you searching for my teacher?"

"Teacher?" Alex widened his eyes.

Seeing Alex's surprised expression, the boy began to doubt Alex. However, he soon realized that he became her disciple only recently, so the people his teacher knew must have no idea.

"I…" The boy looked down.

"What is it?" Alex smiled before asking. "I am not sure whether the one I am searching for is your teacher or not, but looking at your basket, the possibility is quite high. She is a doctor after all."

"A doctor?" The boy gasped and blinked his eyes a few times.

Alex couldn't understand his surprised expression.

"You are the second person who calls her a doctor, Mister. Of course, the first one is me. It seems that you truly know my teacher. I should guide you to her." The boy volunteered himself to lead Alex to the top of the hill.

"Really? Thank you." Alex gently smiled. "What is your name? And how do you know I am your teacher's friend?"

"My name is Axis. Normally, people call my teacher with Shaman. They are the ones who can heal injuries. However, my teacher calls herself a doctor instead of a shaman. It was at that time I realized that my teacher is different." The boy answered him honestly.

"I see." Alex nodded with a smile. He patted the boy's head and gave him advice. "Just one thing you need to remember. Sometimes, it's better to hide the fact you have a teacher. What if I were your teacher's enemy? I would have kidnapped you and threatened your teacher, you know."

"Ah?!" The boy suddenly realized and looked at Alex fearfully.

"Haha…This is just a piece of advice." Alex smiled. "I am sure you can save your teacher in the future if you are a bit careful."

"I understand. Thank you for your teaching, Sen—"

"What kind of poison are you trying to insert into my student's brain?" Before Axis finished, a woman's voice resounded in both their ears.

They instinctively raised their vision, finding Silvia above.

When Alex and Silvia looked at each other, they fell silent for a while. There were so many things they wanted to say, but none of them came out of their mouth.

Noticing the strange atmosphere, the boy saw his teacher's emotion and gasped. He quickly ran to his teacher before turning around, pointing his finger toward Alex. "You are the bastard that keeps making my teacher sad this whole time."

Alex widened his eyes, shocked.

Meanwhile, Silvia quickly used her Divine Energy to grab the boy and pull him to the top. She looked at Alex and said, "How about coming in?"

Alex nodded and walked to the top.

"Teacher, let me go!" Axis struggled to free himself, but he couldn't do anything.

"You go bring the medicinal herbs to the storage and prepare some of them," Silvia ordered.

"But Teacher…" Axis wanted to say something, but Silvia only put on a gentle face and said, "Please."

He gritted his teeth and followed her instruction.

Meanwhile, Alex entered the house and looked at her with a weird face. He didn't know what to say and how he should face her at this point.

"Ehm…You look a bit thinner."

"Just a bit." She shrugged. "How are you these days?"

"I am good. Trained so hard in Eulja. How about you?"

"I just focused on my medical ability." She smiled. "And I will probably leave this world soon since my cultivation is on the bottleneck."

"I see. In that case, do you want to travel with me?" Alex asked. "I have wronged you that day, so I want—"

She quickly covered his mouth and shook her head. "That's my fault. If only I stopped my father, things would go better…"

"It was my fault. I tried to hide it for my own purpose."

"I agreed to it and understood the reason you did it, so it was my fault."

"No, no. It was my fault. If I—"

She covered his mouth again. "Let's stop this?"

Alex thought for a moment and nodded. "Alright."

"If we want to blame, let's blame my father. My mother has punished him dearly. It's like torture instead." She chuckled.

Alex put on a gentle smile.

Their eyes intertwined and Silvia came closer. She was a bit hesitant, but Alex didn't push her away and let her hug him.

"I have thought it through this time. Can I get the second chance?"

"But I am training my student…"

"We can bring him with us. You can teach him just fine. Besides, I haven't fulfilled our promise. There are still one and a half years…"

"Hehe, you are still thinking about it?" She chuckled while burying her face in his chest.

"Of course. I will fulfill the promise I made no matter how long it will take."

"Sounds like you." She smiled. "If you don't mind me with you again, I agree."

"That's good." Alex smiled. "I have promised you to visit a certain world, right? Let's go there."

"Un. Are you here just to visit me?"

"Well, I also plan to visit another world."

"Is it urgent?"

"Not really."

"Then, we can go to your destination first. I can also teach my student while we are at it."

"Alright." Alex nodded. "Axis…"

"Yeah. That boy is a bit special, you see…" She paused for a moment. "His eyes are different from anyone else, including your Spirit Eyes."

"Oh?"

"Your Spirit Eyes allows you to look at energy while his eyes transmit people's emotions."

"Emotions?" Alex fell into deep thought.

"Yes. Anxiety, sadness, happiness, determination, killing intent, or even fear…" She smiled. "I agree to accept him as my student because of his eyes as well as his determination. He will surely become a good doctor with those eyes. Knowing what your patients feel will allow you to understand them and change your treatment accordingly."

"Sounds like powerful eyes." Alex nodded in agreement. "I don't really mind about him. When do you think you will leave?"

"I can follow your schedule."

"I see. Maybe in one or two days?"

"I don't have many things to pack up, so I don't mind."

"Then, let's ask him."

"Sure."

The two then walked toward Axis, who became vigilant when he saw Alex.

"You…"

"Axis." Silvia shook her head. "It's all misunderstanding. We have sorted it out."

Axis could see Silvia's emotion and notice the change. He finally looked down and bowed to Alex. "I am sorry."

Alex patted his head. "You did nothing wrong. It was fair for you to do something like that and I believed that you are an honest kid with how you want to protect your teacher. My name is Alexander Sirius; you can call me Alex. Nice to meet you, Axis."

Axis raised his head, seeing through Alex's emotion. Everything he said from earlier was genuine, so he felt a bit guilty for suspecting him. "Yes. It's my pleasure to meet you."

Silvia smiled. "This boy was too sad. Because of his unique eyes, he was tortured in his village. He is also an orphan, so I took him in."

"I see." Alex nodded and bent down. "We are going to travel to another world, do you want to follow us?"

"Travel to another world?" He tilted his head and looked at his teacher that was going to leave him like his parents.

Before he misunderstood, Silvia hurriedly explained. "You see…I am not from this world. I have come from another world. In the journey of medicine, you need to go to another world to gain their knowledge. Maybe you can treat anything here, but there will be a time you will face another challenge that no one has seen before.

"However, there is a high chance that this kind of sickness has happened in another world and it turns out to be a normal disease there. That's why I always hone myself in another world to gain more and more knowledge about this.

"At first, I wanted to teach you everything to know here, but I believe bringing you to another world will give you the experience needed to be a doctor. You will see different people and different treatments. That's why I want to ask you, would you like to follow your teacher?"

Axis looked down, contemplating the question. He glanced at Alex and asked. "Mister…Are you Teacher's husband?"

Alex and Silvia widened their eyes.

However, the former shook his head. "I am not. But it may or may not change in the future. At that time, you will have the answer."

Axis nodded. "I see. I will follow both of you then. It's not like I have someone in this world other than Teacher."

Alex patted his head. "Then, it's settled. Pack up your belongings. This journey will be fantastic."

"Yes." Axis quickly left the room to store his belongings.

"We will leave tomorrow or the day after. No need to rush!" Alex shouted.

Silvia chuckled when she saw him act like that. "He is earnest."

"I agree. There are so many things that I need to teach this kid. Despite having been bullied for a long time, his kindness only grows stronger and stronger. I am not against it, but I just feel that someone will take advantage of it sooner or later."

"Well, I do have a plan for that which revolves around his eyes, but he is afraid that he sees too much that he will scare the others… I mean, he will feel your fear, anxiety, or even your love, right?" Silvia explained.

"I understand. I will help you regarding this area."
