From Human to Skeleton: Revived with Infinite System Crystals

Chapter 483: Flash

Its scales glistened with a dark, oily sheen, and its eyes burned with a fiery intensity. Each movement was fluid and powerful, the ground trembling with its weight.

Masabi, still convulsing from the shock, shouted, "Damn Vale monster summoning creatures that are a direct weakness to the Angelics! This entire planet is probably doomed, but I will clean things up as best I can right now!"

Gojaro turned to Rosa and Oscar, urgency in his voice. "We need to figure out our next move. Rosa, Oscar, listen up. We need to use this chaos to our advantage."

Rosa nodded, her eyes darting around for any potential escape routes. "What’s the plan, Gojaro?"

Oscar, gripping his weapon tightly, added, "Yeah, Master, tell us what to do."

Gojaro scanned the battlefield, his mind racing. "The creature is enraged and focused on Masabi. We need to move while it’s distracted. Head towards the ruins of that skyscraper. We need to get some distance and find higher ground."

As they began to move, they noticed the creature’s fury intensify. It thrashed wildly, its tail whipping through the air and smashing into the ground, sending debris flying. Masabi released a massive amount of energy, his body glowing with a brilliant light. The portals in the sky began to close one by one, their ominous presence fading.

In the midst of the chaos, a distant melody reached their ears—a flute playing a haunting tune. Rosa’s eyes widened with realization. "Jade spoke about a boy with a flute. We need to find him. He might be able to help us."

Gojaro nodded. "Then that’s our direction. We move towards the music."

They retreated, their footsteps quick and deliberate. Masabi engaged in combat with the serpent creature, his strikes precise and powerful. The ground trembled with each clash, the air thick with the smell of ozone and earth.

The creature’s roars echoed through the battlefield, each one more deafening than the last. It lunged at Masabi, its fangs bared and dripping with venom. Masabi dodged, his movements fluid and almost graceful despite the intensity of the fight. He struck back with a force that sent shockwaves through the ground, but the serpent seemed almost unfazed, its rage undiminished. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

It readied a blast at Masabi, a black ball of pure energy forming in its mouth. The orb crackled with dark electricity, casting an ominous glow around the serpent’s massive jaws. With a deafening roar, it unleashed the blast, the ball hurtling towards Masabi who now perched precariously on a high spot above an alley lined with garbage cans.

Gojaro, glancing over in deep thought, suddenly realized something, his eyes widening in alarm. "Shit, I forgot about her!" Find your next read on empire

He turned urgently to his companions. "Rosa! Oscar! Go on forward and find the boy with the flute. Determine if he is friend or foe and back up Jade as needed. There is an Angelic woman much like the man we just met, but she is likely nicer!"

Before Rosa could react, Gojaro vanished from her grasp, dropping into a low stance and disappearing into the chaos.

Oscar nodded firmly. "Let’s go!" he urged, noticing a few zombies starting to rise from the ground once more.

Rosa, clutching her chest in worry, protested, "But what about Gojaro! He’s already pushed himself past his limit. He’s covered in wounds and blood, and I have a feeling he can’t pull off many more moves before he exhausts himself!"

Oscar’s expression was grim but resolute. "That’s beyond our control right now! Move it, Rosa!"

Rosa bit her lip, torn between concern for Gojaro and the urgency of their mission. Finally, she nodded. "I suppose you are right, but damn it!"

She dashed ahead of Oscar, clapping her hands together and summoning her power. With a swift, precise motion, she sliced through the zombies that had surfaced, their decayed bodies crumbling under her attack.

Meanwhile, Gojaro maneuvered through the debris-strewn battlefield, his movements deliberate despite his injuries. The serpent, now fully emerged, was a colossal figure against the darkened skyline of New York. Its scales shimmered like obsidian, each one a fortress of impenetrable armor. Its eyes glowed with an intense, malevolent light as it fixated on Masabi.

The blast of black energy streaked through the air, its trajectory unerring. Masabi took a deep breath.

Masabi stood on the edge of the alley, the blast of dark energy churning ominously toward him. He considered his options with a grim smirk. "I probably can’t deflect that blast using my pure Angelic power. I could just dodge it and let it smash into the ground, destroying the entire area and killing everyone," he thought, almost amused. "Would serve them right for their great sins... But...

But... DAMN IT! I want more answers from them. And that damned girl with the fox ears had the gall to talk back to me like that!"

He surveyed the wreckage around him. The streets of New York, once alive with the hum of city life, were now a war zone. Broken glass and debris littered the ground, twisted metal signs of "Broadway" and "5th Avenue" barely readable among the chaos. The air reeked of smoke, burnt metal, and the stench of death.

The cries of children echoed from the ruins of collapsed buildings, a heartbreaking reminder of the city’s fall.

Masabi spotted Rosa and Oscar fleeing through the dusty haze. "Where’s the other one?" he muttered, annoyed. "Whatever!"

With a swift gesture, he extended his hand toward Oscar. A rope of green energy shot out, speeding toward him and latching onto his arm, wrapping around the blade he held.

Oscar, running alongside Rosa, felt a violent tug that nearly tore his arm off. "Tch!" he screamed, trying to shake off the searing pain. He looked down to see a green blob of energy crushing his hand and blade.

Rosa heard his cry and turned, her heart pounding. "Are you okay?" she shouted, her voice edged with panic.

"This damn asshole has my arm!" Oscar yelled, his voice tight with pain.
