Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 298: Lein's dream world

He staggered back a few steps before spreading his arms wide. Beneath him, the empty void began to tremble. Slowly, a massive black hole appeared, like a giant maw preparing to devour everything.

Lein looked down, his eyes narrowing. "A black hole?" he muttered, observing the massive void as if it posed an immense threat. However, the surprises were not over. Above him, a similar black hole appeared, creating a pressure that made the empty space around them feel suffocating.

Zkeron's soul stared at Lein with a wide grin. His skeletal face, with glowing red eyes, exuded an unmistakable menace. In a fraction of a second, the figure vanished from sight, leaving Lein standing between the two massive black holes.

From a distance, Lein appeared alone in the void, while the two black holes—one above and one below him—slowly began to concentrate their energy.

Not wasting any time, Zkeron's soul, now hovering far in front of Lein, clenched his fist. The motion was slow but carried an air of majesty and deadly threat.

At the same time, the two massive black holes above and below Lein began to stir. From their depths emerged a rain of dark stars—thousands of glowing fragments radiating destructive energy in a deep black hue.

Each fragment resembled a blazing projectile, mercilessly targeting Lein's body.

Caught off guard and unable to activate his protective barrier in time, Lein was bombarded by explosions.

Boom…

Boom…

A relentless barrage of deafening explosions echoed through the void. Lein's body appeared small amid the bursts of destructive energy, like a leaf caught in a thunderstorm. Each fragment that struck him erupted with ferocity, creating shockwaves that tore through the empty air around them. Ripples of energy spread, giving the illusion of endless destruction.

In the distance, the red flames in Zkeron's eyes flared brighter. The glow reflected his satisfaction, like a fire being fed new fuel. But then, suddenly, something changed.

Crack…

A cracking sound reverberated through the air, shaking the surrounding emptiness. Zkeron, basking in his perceived dominance, lifted his gaze. The sky above him fractured, like fragile glass beginning to splinter. The cracks expanded, spreading rapidly in all directions.

Crack…

The sound echoed again. Shards of the illusion began to crumble, disintegrating into tiny fragments. Zkeron looked up in alarm, the red flames in his eyes now blazing chaotically, no longer exuding triumph. Fear gripped him—something rarely experienced by a King-tier soul like himself.

Meanwhile, Lein sat casually on a floating dream bubble, observing the scene with a faint smile.

"Incredible," he muttered in admiration, his gaze fixed on the dream bubble, which was starting to lose its shape under the pressure of the collapsing illusion. He knew all of this was the result of a carefully laid strategy.

"Even a King-tier soul cannot escape my dream trap," Lein said with pride, his hand gently caressing the smooth surface of the bubble. From the moment he entered this void, Lein had created a dream world to trap Zkeron. Everything Zkeron saw and felt was nothing more than a fabrication of the dream Lein controlled entirely.

He let out a light sigh. "Goodbye…" With a confident gesture, Lein waved his hand.

Thousands of golden and black swords appeared around him, floating in the air like a flock of predatory birds. The swords radiated a piercing sharpness, causing the void to tremble with the pure energy they contained. One by one, the swords shot toward Zkeron at lightning speed.

Zkeron, still trapped in the dream, tried to resist. A massive black sphere formed in his hands, spinning and absorbing energy from the surrounding space. He hurled it toward the incoming storm of swords.

"It's useless…" Lein murmured calmly.

The energy sphere collided with the first golden swords, creating a massive explosion. However, it wasn't enough. The following swords kept advancing, breaking down the black sphere bit by bit until its energy was completely depleted and it vanished.

Zkeron's soul stared blankly at the inevitable rain of swords. He knew the end was near.

Argh!

A desperate scream echoed. His body was relentlessly struck by the sharp swords. The red light in his eyes began to dim, like a candle flame flickering against the wind.

[Your sword deals 1.099k damage to the Guardian soul ]

[Your sword deals 799k damage to the Guardian soul ]

[Your sword deals 1.255k damage to the Guardian soul ]

...

Lein furrowed his brow as system notifications appeared before him. "One million damage?" he muttered, almost in disbelief. Damage that high was rare, even for his swords.

"It seems these swords are truly extraordinary," he thought, nodding slightly, satisfied with the outcome.

Lein turned his gaze toward Zkeron's soul , which was thrashing about, unleashing all of its dark magical power. The energy figure writhed, radiating a thick aura as it launched various destructive attacks to stop the unending rain of swords.

Explosions erupted as Zkeron's destructive magic clashed with the golden swords emitting holy light. However, his efforts appeared futile. The rain of swords Lein had summoned was not only limitless but grew stronger over time.

The sky above Zkeron was filled with golden swords that continuously emerged like an unending torrent. Each sword that struck created a small explosion, contributing to total annihilation. Lein had activated Skill 6: Sky Sword Rain.

(Skill 6: Sky Sword Rain) Summons an infinite number of swords to rain down on the enemy for 10 minutes. Each sword strike increases damage by 2%, stacking up to 20 times.

- Cooldown: 1 hour.

Lein stood at a distance, observing the lethal effects of his skill. He knew that with its long duration and gradual damage increase, Zkeron wouldn't last long. Sure enough, within seconds, the Guardian Soul was destroyed.

[Congratulations, you have defeated the Guardian Soul.]

[The Spatial Ring is now unlocked.]

Lein's body felt lighter as the empty space around him disappeared, returning him to the trunk of the Tree of Life. Before him, the item orb that had been the focus of the battle now appeared calm. Lein looked at the heavenly spatial ring in his hand, its surface emitting a soft, majestic glow.

"I need to bind it first," Lein thought, piercing his fingertip with his sword. A drop of dark red blood fell, landing precisely on the surface of the ring.

[The Heavenly Ring has been successfully recognized. Owner: Lein.]
