Chapter 565: Chapter 565: Finally Remembered Me

Qiao Xiaomai wasn’t aware of what happened in the old Tong Family Courtyard. She went back to the Qiao Family with Tong Sanlang; partly to introduce him to Hua Xiaofeng as family, and partly to bring back some things from her home.

Today was the first time she openly entered Tong Sanlang’s room. Even though everything was basic and it didn’t feel like a desirable place to live, so much that she wanted to go back to the Qiao Family every minute, she looked around carefully and thought certain areas could be arranged nicely.

And then there was all the stuff that Yang Ye brought over. The small courtyard of the Qiao Family couldn’t accommodate all of it, and a part of it had to be temporarily placed in the courtyard.

Tong Sanlang said he could go cut some wood from the mountain tomorrow and build a temporary shed. It was not a proper way to let stuff sit under the sun.

After Hua Xiaofeng’s family left, she fetched items like rouge, powder, mirrors, and combs, and loaded the bathtub onto the ox cart.

Today was hot; she had been wandering in silk clothes for half of the day, and her body was already covered in a layer of sweat.

She needed to take a bath after sweating. After asking Tong Sanlang and learning that the Tong Family only had two bathtubs, one for males and one for females, she immediately packed her bathtub.

Such a thing, she would not share with others.

Qiao Changshun suggested she should bring some daily utensils that Yang Ye had brought over, “I think that dressing table is quite good, the wood is very fine.”

Qiao Xiaomai refused, “No need, all these things will be moved to the manor later.”

After exchanging a few words with Qiao Changshun, Qiao Xiaomai, leading the ox cart, set off from home with Tong Sanlang.

When they returned to the Tong Family, Tong Tiehu was standing at the door, and there were no signs of others.

Seeing the things on the ox cart, Tong Tiehu nodded his head, “Go see your mother, it’s been a day.”

Upon hearing this, Qiao Xiaomai’s eyes widened. Oh my, the day had been filled to the brim. She had forgotten about Madam Zhang!

She married into the family under the pretext of bringing good luck; it was appropriate to pretend at least a little.

Thinking of this, she jumped down from the ox cart, and started to walk toward the hall.

Seeing her movement, Tong Sanlang handed the reins to Tong Tiehu and hurriedly followed her.

The Tong Family’s main room consisted of five rooms.
