Fallen Fate Online

Chapter 125 The Weak Spot

The Royal Knight was already choosing his next victim, his deep eyes inspiring fear and regard, forcing the Players to obey Zayne's words and quickly step back to the edge of the battlefield.

The only ones left in front of the Royal Knight were Zayne, Jane, Luis, and Dave. They nodded to each other and were ready to fight together to defeat a strong enemy.

"I and Luis will attack first, Dave will defend us, and you can use the moment to strike a powerful attack." Jane said, quickly handing out commands and rushing forward with her sword covered in a dense layer of ice.

"That was an impressive throw, I hope that's not all you're capable of." Luis smirked before turning into a black flash.

Royal Knight's eyes shifted as his gaze fell on the two targets moving toward him. The Royal Knight gripped the hilt tightly as blue runes glowed brightly on his sword, exuding a powerful light.

eαglesnᴏνel Jane and Luis grew wary, expecting an attack, but they did not stop. They had to defeat this Knight to pass on, and the sooner the better.

Whooooooooooooooooooooosh.

The Royal Knight swung his sword unnaturally fast, which came down on Jane and Luis like a blue flash. Their pupils narrowed as they simultaneously leaped aside, dodging the attack at the last moment.

A torrent of energy erupted from the sword and headed forward in the form of a blue blade. It whizzed by Zayne with the speed of the wind, leaving a long trail on the ground and making Zayne's coat flutter.

'Damn... Even I wouldn't risk staying still in a situation like that...' Dave muttered inwardly with a dazed expression, 'Is he really trying to show off? Although... no, from the look in his eyes he was analyzing his opponent and was pretty sure that this attack wouldn't reach him... Shit... This is bad.'

At the same time, Jane and Luis nodded at each other and at the same time attacked the Royal Knight's knees. They were about to knock the big enemy down so, they could easily finish him off, but just as their weapons approached his knees, the Royal Knight's legs were covered in a blue barrier.

"What...?" Jane gasped as Luis's eyes went wide.

The barrier absorbed most of the damage, then returned the damage back to them in the recoil, causing their faces to twist in pain from the waves of pressure passing through their bodies.

"Fuck! Retreat!" Jane shouted as Luis's aura intensified. In a heartbeat they turned into shadows, finding themselves next to Dave.

"Hmm... I didn't expect that... He's fast, strong, has magical powers, and can defend himself on top of that... This one is definitely a few heads above the other Knights." Luis muttered with a frown.

All the while, Zayne watched their actions, not missing a single detail. He saw Luis use a skill similar to the one Andre used, as well as the Royal Knight's sword, which faded when the barrier appeared.

'It's all clear to me now... Well, information is actually a great weapon. If you know what the enemy is capable of, everything becomes much easier at once.' Zayne nodded slightly as he bent down and picked up a stone spear from the ground.

"Hey... What are you going to do?" Jane muttered with a questioning look.

Zayne shrugged, "Nothing complicated, just going to show you something, keep your eyes on the runes on his sword."

No one understood what was going on, but Zayne wasn't going to stop, so he took a deep breath and threw the spear as hard as he could. He'd never done it before, but his inhuman strength was enough to send it flying at breakneck speed toward its target.

Tremble.

The spear smashed into the Royal Knight's chest, leaving light damage on it, but before the Royal Knight could do a single move, Zayne threw another spear, covering it with a blue glow, increasing the power of the spear.

This time the Royal Knight did not ignore the threat, and covered his chest with a protective barrier, causing the runes on his sword to extinguish.

"Damn... It was easier than I thought." Luis muttered in a daze.

Jane gulped, "Fine, in that case, let's all attack him together in different places. He can't defend himself from all sides at once!"

Zayne turned around and headed toward the Players with a slight wave of his hand, "Attack first, I need some time, and I'll join you."

"What... What the hell are you doing?" Jane shouted, enraged.

Tremble.

The Royal Knight stomped on the ground, staring intently at the passing Zayne while flames of rage rose in his eyes, then his sword glowed brightly, and he swung several times, releasing energy blades.

"Dave!" Luis exclaimed as his mate nodded and stood in front of Zayne, consuming each blade with his massive shield, feeling the shivers run through his body.

"Go ahead, we have no other option anyway." Luis put his hand on Jane's shoulder and ran forward. With a brief hesitation, she followed him.

Step. Step. Step.

Zayne approached one Player and said in a calm tone, "Hey, when you fought the Knights you shot a ball of lightning at it, didn't you?"

The young man with a confused expression, nodded.

"Fine, if you want to go further, then create a few of those spheres, as many as you can, and point them at me." Zayne said confidently as his ring glowed brightly.

"Sure... I'll do my best!" The young man responded vigorously and immediately set to work. He directed mana toward his palms, creating electric spheres of great power between them.

In Zayne's hands came the Thunder Hunter, his new sword, with an unusual active skill.

[Active Skill - Thunderous Execution

Use your mana or absorb natural lighting to fill your sword with the power of thunder, then, in one move, unleash all the accumulated might on your enemy. There is almost no limit, and everything depends on the amount of your resources].

Crackle. Crackle. Crackle.

Four electric spheres hovered beside Zayne as the runes on his sword shone, eager to absorb all that energy.
