Chapter 115 Fan
Under the stares of many people, Zayne and Galahan entered Platinum Tower through the main entrance. People couldn't believe what they were seeing since Galahan was the one they would do anything to meet.
"Damn... Who the hell is this guy, and why is he dressed so weird...?" The man in the expensive suit muttered, adjusting his tie.
"Maybe it's his illegitimate son...? If you look closely, they look pretty similar, don't they?" The woman in formal attire tilted her head as she touched her lips.
One man stared at them for a long time, then his eyes went wide, and he exclaimed, "That's Zayne Fellen!"
"Zayne Fellen... Wait... Are you talking about Fallen Fate Online?" His buddy was surprised.
The man quickly nodded several times, "Looks like we're about to see something interesting. I don't know how Mr. Galahan did it, but he managed to get Zayne to interview with the Platinum Post!"
The woman shook her head, "Agh...Damn, looks like they're going to take over the top spot in another industry...Galahan has a real talent for finding the right moments for the right people."
Clip. Clip. Clip.
When people realized what was going on, several of them quickly pulled out their phones and took a few pictures before Zayne with Galahan completely disappeared from their sight.
...
"Hahaha, looks like we'll be in my competitors' news soon enough." Galahan laughed as he noticed what was happening behind them.
"Hmm? What are you talking about?" Zayne gave him a puzzled look as they entered the elevator.
Galahan waved his hand, "Never mind. Better get ready for the interview. We're going to do this for real, no pre-prepared questions, so be ready that some parts might be unpleasant or take you by surprise."
Zayne nodded. Regardless it was Platinum Post, today would be his first interview, so he was obviously nervous.
They stopped on the 49th floor. The elevator doors opened as bright sunlight fell on Zayne through the windows that replaced the walls across the skyscraper.
Zayne gasped, took a few steps forward, and the view of the entire city from above opened up before him. All the buildings except the other skyscrapers were below him as well as countless streets, parks, and most important - hundreds of people.
Tap.
Galahan put his hand on Zayne's shoulder and said with a broad smile, "I see you're enjoying this, aren't you? I won't hide it, the first time I was here I felt just like you are now."
Zayne nodded with a deep look, "Yeah, it's incredible... It's a real stone forest, and for some reason, I like it better than the usual... although it's against nature, isn't it?"
Galahan was puzzled, "What a strange... no, unusual question. Hmm... I've never thought about it, but I think the whole point is that this city was built by us, humans, and it's the result of our work. So being on top and looking at the city from this height, we feel something..."
"Greatness." Zayne said coldly as if that were the only word that made sense.
"Hehehe, yeah, maybe you're right." Galahan smirked, rubbing his chin.
Step. Step. Step.
"Mr. Galahan!" An annoyed voice rang out behind them, causing Zayne and Galahan to turn around.
They saw a girl in a formal suit and short brown hair. The girl had her hands at her sides with a frown, she seemed clearly unhappy about something.
"Oh... Avice, did you really have to yell like that?" Galahan shook his head, then he pointed at her, "Zayne, this is Avice, she's in charge of getting our guests ready."
"Exactly! Mr. Galahan, you said to get everything ready as fast as possible, but in the end, the whole cast is already waiting for you!" Avice grimaced, then she took a deep breath calming down.
She stared at Zayne and muttered with an appraising look, "Whatever, I have a lot of work to do. First I have to pick out some kind of outfit for you... What is that coat? Is it from the new collection of one of the luxury brands? I haven't seen anyone sell it."
Galahan's face flushed as he could hardly contain himself from laughing at the young fancy girl. He even had to cover his mouth to keep his laughter from bursting out.
"Hmm? Did I say something wrong?" Avice was puzzled.
"It's a plain old coat... I bought it a few years ago for a couple of dozen credits." Zayne said calmly.
Avice's eyes went wide, then she took another deep breath and touched her forehead like she had a headache.
"Agh... Well, it's not a problem anyway. Let's go to the dressing room, and I'll get you ready and pick you up some appropriate outfit." Avice accepted the situation and headed forward.
"Wait." Galahan waved his hand, "I don't think you should change his clothes. His coat will give the interview a special atmosphere, after all, he's not a model or a businessman, but a player, Zayne Fellen."
Tremble.
When Avice heard this she flinched and turned sharply as she approached Zayne almost closely. Her eyes went wide as she got goosebumps.
"No way... How could I have been so blind that I didn't realize it was you... I'm your fan!!!" Avice exclaimed joyfully as she even jumped up, unable to contain her emotions that were literally bursting out of her.
Zayne was speechless, too many incredible things had happened today and now someone was admitting to being his fan... This was just beyond his expectations.
"I'm glad to hear that...but we kind of have to hurry, don't we?" Zayne muttered, scratching the back of his head.
Avice's face quickly became serious, "Sure, work first, everything else later. Please follow me."
Zayne nodded.
"Good luck! I'll be watching the interview from the sidelines!" Galahan shouted, waving his hand.
Two bodyguards approached Galahan, one of them asked, "Should I guard Mr. Zayne? The chance of anything happening to him is minimal, but I think it's better to play it safe."
Galahan smirked, as he shook his head, "I assure you it is not necessary. You might not believe me, but I doubt there's a single person in all of Platinum Tower who's stronger than Zayne."
The bodyguards looked at each other since they didn't understand what Galahan was talking about, but they didn't argue and just stood in their usual spots.
It was on this floor that Platinum Post usually recorded their most famous interviews, so everything here was top-notch, from the equipment to the staff, everyone knew what had to be done.
Crackle.
A few minutes later, Zayne came out of the dressing room and headed for the stage, where an interviewer was already waiting for him.
"Well, well, Avice did her best." Galahan said, looking at Zayne, "She usually tries to make everyone look pretty and good-looking for the picture, but now... she hit the spot."
Zayne looked majestic, and it was all about one detail. Because of her experience, Avice knew what Zayne's specialty was, so when he walked up to the stage everyone stared at him as if mesmerized while his azure eyes devoured everything around him.
His eyes, like two cold stars, were the only source of light that everyone else depended on, immediately becoming the center of the action, even before the interview began.
