Chapter 178: Destol
Chapter 178: Destol
Around the time Raze's selection and Banquet ended, Lucan left the Nine Hells. He received a message from Silent.
[Silent Night: I am on my way back. Everything in Vertshadow is taken care of.]
[Lucan Quilldrake: Great, I am leaving the Nine Hells early.]
[Silent Night: What did you do? You shouldn't be able to leave early.]
[Lucan Quilldrake: Nothing much, I just made another deal with Gilbuzz.]
[Silent Night: Lucan Don't be dumb.]
[Lucan Quilldrake: It's fine don't worry. I wanted to let you know, because I won't immediately head back. I want to look around for a space to host a dungeon.]
[Silent Night: Alright, I was planning on visiting the city of Destol. The city you got from your fight with the Plague Baron. Since you aren't coming back, I will still headed their with Heaven.]
[Lucan Quilldrake: Your sister is going?]
[Silent Night: Yeah, is that a problem?]
[Lucan Quilldrake: No, no problem. It is good that you guys are doing things together.]
[Silent Night: Mmm, it's fun. Actually, this is a bit of business. She wants to set up a guild branch. I was thinking the new city of Destol might work out well for her. So we are going to go take a look.]
[Lucan Quilldrake: Sounds good to me. You know what, why don't you take Destol.]
[Silent Night: I don't understand what you mean.]
[Lucan Quilldrake: It is common for the Hand's of Raze to give territory to their own warlocks, inside of their own territory. Why don't you take Desto. It can be yours.]
[Silent Night: ]
[Lucan Quilldrake: Are you stunned by your husbands amazing might? I am able to gift you an entire city. Come praise me, tell me how awesome I am.]
[Silent Night: Your Aunt is right. You are a punk. You are pushing away your own responsibilities onto me.]
[Lucan Quilldrake: So you don't want it?]
[Silent Night: I didn't say that.]
[Lucan Quilldrake: Great it is yours. I have to go, talk to you later.]
[Silent Night: Lucan...]
[Silent Night: ]
[Silent Night: Lucan, you get back here.]
However, he didn't respond. Lucan had collected his things and stepped out of the nine hells.
He activated Omni-vision and had a quick look around. Unfortunately, there were no suitable spaces to host a dungeon. It may be hard to find a pocket dimension that would work for his needs, but like Gilbuzz had said, his abilities were tailor made to finding such locations.
Lucan summoned the flying carpet and dashed through the air. After he travelled a bit he activated his Omni-vision again. He hoped to get lucky and find what he was looking for quickly. But that wasn't the case.
He flew for most of the day but never found anything suitable. It wouldn't be easy to find what he needed, but it wouldn't be impossible. He wasn't going to give up.

"What did he say?" Heaven asked. "Did you ask him? Is he alright with us having a guild branch in the shadow realm?" She asked.
Heaven could see that her sister had a peculiar expression. She had asked Silent to make sure it was okay with Lucan. They had never had the best relationship. In the past, Heaven's Kiss would never have dreamed of asking for a favor from Lucan. She would rather struggle and fail that receive his help.
But things had changed. Heaven had begun to accept the warlock's relationship with her sister. With that being the case, there was no reason not to ask.
"It is fine." Silent said. "He doesn't mind at all."
"Then why do you look so strange. What happened?"
"He pawned off a city on me and said you could have your branch there."
"Hey, that's great, so many people would be jealous if they knew your husband was gifting you cities." Heaven teased. "You have to make sure you pay him back and thank brother-in-law properly." She said, giving her sister a wink.
"We can head over tomorrow if you want. I am already to tired from today. We didn't really do anything, but watching that boring selction all day, wore me out."
"I know what you mean. Can I stay over again tonight? It is easier than heading back."
"Sure, that is fine with me."
"Great, you can tell me everything about why you didn't come home last night."
Silent's cheeks started to turn red from embarrassment. Before she could run away, Heaven hooked her arm around Silent's and didn't let her escape.
"Where are you trying to run away to. If you don't tell me, then I will go ask Lucan. That guy always loves to brag, I am sure he will spill the beans and let me know."
"I hope not. That stuff should stay private between a wife and her husband." Silent responded.
"Oh, ho, ho. That tells me everything I need to know. I never thought you wouldn't dare to be so bold or fast moving. I expected you to hide from him and have your physical relationship move forward at a snail's pace."
Silent was still embarrassed, but she straightened her back as they walked deeper in the castle. "He is my husband, what wouldn't I dare do?"
"Dear sister, you shouldn't brag too much. Regular sex is just the tip of the iceberg. There are a lot of different tastes out there. If you are looking for-."
"Geez, what are you talking about? Fine, fine, there is a lot that I don't dare to do. If you keep on picking on me, I will put your guild branch in some dark alleyway, where nobody wants to be."
Heaven's Kiss chuckled. "Okay, okay. I won't tease you. But if you ever want to talk about it more, you can always find me later." She said as she followed Silent into her room in the castle.
Heaven was still impressed even though she had been here before.
Her sister's room in this castle was already nicer than her own bedroom at her guild headquarters. The first time she had seen this, her opinion of Lucan started to slowly change.
No despicable money gruber would ever give such a nice and large room to their flings when they could make money off of it. Lucan not only did that, but he furnished it with the best things. The money spent on furniture alone was outstanding. It had blown Heaven away.
She hadn't realized that everything was picked out and paid for by Raze. But it was still true. Lucan would give everything he had to Silent if she asked.
She believed he wouldn't even hesitate if she asked for something.
Silent shared the bed with her sister. Sliding under the covers next to another person, she couldn't help but remember last night.
It was the first time she had ever shared a bed with a man in real life. She and Lucan had spent many nights together in the same bed inside of Evolution, but last night was different. It was their real bodies. It was the real her, that Brax had clung onto last night and held close while he slept.
She closed her eyes hopping to dream about being back there. If she hadn't need to show up in Vertshadow for her husband, she would probably still be in bed with him at this moment.
When they had spoken earlier, it sounded as if looking was busy and had many plans for the night. But she still had the hope that he would visit her in her dreams. Although his spell only let them meet up for an hour, it was still an hour of time that she got to spend with her husband.
Heaven had been making a special effort to spend more time with her sister. Ever since she found out Jenna had already married Brax, she felt slightly sad.
She wanted the best for her sister, and now that she knew her sister was married, it was only a matter of time until Jenna moved out. Even though they didn't spend a lot of time together she was uncomfortable with the thought of seeing her sister less.
In Heaven's eyes, her sister's relationship with Lucan was the real deal. She didn't think they would break up or anything like that. After spending time with the two it was clear they both cared for each other. She saw it as a great thing that her sister had found someone to be happy with, but it also signified a large change. In the future things would be different from how they are now.
The pair of sisters snuggled together and drifted to sleep while Lucan continued to scour the realms looking for a place that would work for him.
The warlock opened his interface and checked his clock. Seeing the time, you found a place to land the carpet and took out a few of Silent's hairs.
He quickly began to cast a spell.
