Chapter 225
Chapter 225
Arc cast a powerful spell. Once she combined the principles of the No Thoughts Gold Strong Technique and the Black Yak school of magic, her ability level as a user was second only to the Heaven above the Heavens. Though Arc couldnt collapse the dimension and create a dimensional rift, she could form an undulation.
However, before Arc launched her attack, Regrants summoned GaoGaiGar through the dimensional barrier Archmage Leighann had wrapped around the planet, forcing GaoGaiGar to appear through a dimensional portal. This was the start of a series of improbable events.
As GaoGaiGar broke through the dimensional barrier, the space around Regrants became unstable, albeit momentarily. Furthermore, Regrants then activated his transcendent Sky Fist, which contained power beyond any users imagination, and combined it with the power of GaoGaiGar to create the upgraded Iron Fist attack. By doing this, the distortion of the dimensional space around Regrants intensified. Thus, when Arcs Master Skill activated, it was like the straw that broke the camels back. The dimensional space surrounding Regrants couldnt withstand the constant barrage of undulations and collapsed, creating a brief dimensional rift.
A-away with you!
The collapse of the dimension and the opening Regrants revealed was fleeting, but the White Divine Celestial Dragon, Thousand Scents, reflexively lifted her Chintamani Marble and finished her holy worded spell chant. Regrants had been preparing to launch his Iron Fist attack, and he couldn't resist the enormous force pushing against him.
Arc was the first to be swallowed by the illusory space in the newly-formed breach. She couldnt escape the attractional force since she was the closest to the rift, and on top of that, she had no special ability to aid her. Regrants was the next to fall into the dimensional rift. Although he could get away, he was temporarily incapacitated by Thousand Scents attack. She had used her Chintamani Marble, the best weapon of the draconic species, so the illusory space inevitably sucked him in.
T-this so unlucky!
With his developed insight, Regrants instantly grasped and understood his situation, but there was nothing he could do. Soon, the illusory space within the rift swallowed the two before returning the dimensional space to its original state as if nothing had happened.
Regrants spiritual pattern cannot be found. Success?
What the hell?
For a moment, the users and even the four transcendents were speechless as they looked dumbfoundedly at the space that swallowed Regrants and Arc just a moment ago. No one had expected such an ending.
Leighann had deployed the planet-enveloping dimensional barrier and made Regrants bring GaoGaiGar through a dimensional portal, while Thousand Scents momentarily immobilized Regrants with her Chintamani Marble attack. These two, the rare few Irregulars in the entire universe, the Masters said to be humanitys finest, and even the operators of DIO and Tan conspiring behind the scene - not a single one of these existences expected such a result
This turn of events was truly an accident, a pure anomaly.
Oh, my God! Arc?
In a state of panic, Merlin jumped forward. Of course, the users were only here in their in-game avatars, not their actual bodies. Their bodies were asleep on Earth, and if they died during a mission, they would wake up in reality. However, the illusory space was a realm of Chaos, a chaos that existed before the origin of the universe. In the gap between each dimension was an area where everything was mixed; even a divine being couldnt endure in such a space for long before being utterly annihilated. Since the Emperor of Martial Arts, Regrants, fell into such a space, the four transcendent Grand Masters logically assumed that Regrants was as good as dead. Hence, it went without saying, but Arc was most likely gone for good as well.
Crack!
However, once again, another unexpected situation occurred. The space where Arc and Regrants had disappeared began to crack.
Damn it! Is the Emperor of Martial Arts escaping from Chaos?
I knew it! Theres no way he would have gone out and died so quietly.
Plop.
The dimensional space split and a user covered in leather armor fell to the ground. Afterward, the dimensional rift closed shut once more.
With eyes full of disbelief, the transcendents looked at the fainted Arc. To think that a lowly, weak human could emerge from the space of Chaos, a place even the Emperor of Martial Arts couldnt escape.
Arc! Arc, are you okay?
Merlin hurriedly approached and shook Arcs body, but she showed no signs of waking. And then, a text message appeared in his mind.
/Clear! Mission complete! Awards will be distributed according to each participants activity score!/
The world started to go dark. As Merlin knew this phenomenon took place when DIO forcibly disconnected its users, he asked Leighann a question, as the latter was currently holding Arc.
What are you going to do with Arc?
I have something to investigate. I wont harm her, so take care of her real body on Earth to ensure she doesnt die. Just wait.
Wait. Are you guys-
Poof!
Yet, before Merlin could ask anything more, his vision darkened. In no time, Merlin wasnt on the battlefield anymore but comfortably seated on a reclining chair inside his house.
What the hell?
Merlin- no, Yongno was at a loss for words. In a completely unexpected turn of events, even he, an Irregular, couldnt process what was happening.
What is going on?
***
Crack.
A desk made of an unknown material cracked and split with great force. Seated at the now-broken desk was the silver-haired, middle-aged Tan, who froze for a moment in a state of stupor. Then, Tan took a deep breath and calmed down.
This is ridiculous. How did this happen.
Tan gnashed his teeth. His objective and plan, which he had painstakingly planned out over n extensive period, completely collapsed due to an absurd chain of coincidences.
Tan had been jealous of the grand yet lowly human genius who overpowered him and reproduced the DIO system that only the greatest of gods could create. This genius was the Empress of Magic, Jenica. Due to this, Tan knew just how powerful the Emperor of Martial Arts was, better than anyone else.
Regrants had successfully operated the first user training system alongside Jenica, and he was quite formidable in the past, but as time passed, Regrants had improved even further. Now, Regrants power level was comparable to that of a Demon King.
While the Grand Masters who protected DIOs world had superior abilities and were even recognized beings within Noblesse, the four transcendents were no match for Regrants.
I was planning to take advantage of his relatively obscure existence since he remained quiet all these years and was overlooked within the wider universe, but things have taken a ridiculous turn.
Having received all the battle information, Tan knew how Regrants had lost.
GaoGaiGar, a Transcendent Weapon powerful enough to be in the top 100 of all Transcendent Weapons, cracked through a dimensional space to enter the area. Then, one of the users exerted her special unique power to create a dimensional undulation, and all the while, Leighanns planet-wrapping barrier was isolating the space. With Thousand Scents using her Chintamani Marble, all these events overlapped to bring about the most improbable result. An accident of epic proportions had arisen.
Was everything just a coincidence? All of this?
The data he possessed suggested that this matter developed through pure random chance. First, Tan wasnt even aware of Arc, as he had not paid attention to her throughout DIOs operation. Moreover, through Arcs body, Tan acquired the residual thoughts and data of what happened to Arc after she went beyond the boundary of Chaos; he knew that she wasnt controlled, conspiring, or manipulating anything, nor was she acting on someone elses accord.
He knew that a special, occasional phenomenon in the illusory space was the reason behind Arcs escape from Chaos.
However, a sense of doubt crept into Tans mind.
Tan couldnt believe or accept the current circumstances. Of course, even a one-in-a-billion chance transpired every once in a while; in fact, wasnt it already a statistical impossibility that three Irregulars existed on a single planet? However, Tan just couldnt get over the fact that such a statistical anomaly had occurred when executing his arduously schemed plan. No matter how much he thought about it, he couldnt get over the strange feeling that something was off.
Tan was an ardent conspiracy theorist and enjoyed plotting and executing conspiracies. Moreover, he was an elder within the Noblesse, which could be called the backbone of the Union. In his position, Tan conducted many major schemes behind the scenes. This gave him all the more reason to vehemently deny the logical conclusion that this absurd outcome was a simple succession of coincidences.
Yet, there are no indications of ulterior motives or actors. Ugh, what a mess. I need to completely scrap my original plan and develop a new one.
Based on Tans initial plan, everyone who faced the Emperor of Martial Arts was supposed to die. Only then could Tan mobilize the moderates within Noblesse and take more extreme action to dominate the Noblesse and the Union. However, since the Emperor of Martial Arts, one of the Elohims guardians, was defeated, the Noblesse were now in a much more disadvantaged political position within the Union.
It would have been a lie to state that Tan hadnt thought of Regrants being defeated, but to have this almost implausible event happen left Tan in an awkward position with limited choices.
Now, Im only left with extreme routes.
Tan growled as he raised a blue spiritual qi aura. Then, he started working on a new set of plans.
