DC: I'm The Ultimate Lifeform

Chapter 11: Chapter 11

Chapter 11

"It's odd," I mused, watching as the other heroes shot Wonder Woman perplexed glances, their expressions a mix of confusion and apprehension as they recalled the tales of Zeus's villainy. They shrugged it off, but I couldn't quite shake the unsettling atmosphere. I turned my attention to Wonder Woman, who, with a resolute demeanor, seemed to have moved on from the whole Zeus affair. I was weirded out a little, but after a second thought, Zeus was a chill guy. Sure he did some wrong, but I couldn't help but like the guy.

I instantly frowned, ignoring Wonder Woman as my adaptation kicked in, causing whatever strange power was causing me to think Zeus was such a chill guy to be resisted. I frowned, looking into the sky for some time, trying to understand what it was that was affecting my mind.

"Weird," I said ignoring Wonder Woman's attempts to get my attention. I thought for some time before I began trying to locate Zeus... but I quickly found that the guy was killed long ago by Darkseid in an epic war. So, how the hell was Zeus able to affect me from beyond the grave?

"Well, you made me my enemy," I said softly, my eyes cold. My words confused Wonder Woman, but I just snapped my finger, causing the thing that was affecting their minds to also lose its effect on them... it went as far as affecting the whole universe.

I didn't know whose plan it was or whatever, to draw them out, I would enrage them and draw them out towards me. With a smirk, I walked off, leaving the Justice League members frowning as their minds returned to normal.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"What did you do?" Wonder Woman asked, her faith and respect for the gods shattering. I ignored her and simply went on with my day... well, I was going towards a life force that was slowly disappearing. Wonder Woman was annoyed, but she had a deeper matter to deal with. She needed to go speak with the gods... Not all of the gods have died, a few remained. She shot off, leaving Batman's eyes narrowed, lost in thought as to what happened.

"..." I stood before an alleyway, an interested look seeing the beautiful pale-skinned woman who was lying on the ground, slowly bleeding to her death. She had on a simple T-shirt and ripped jeans.

She had injuries all over, all the injuries pointing towards her being tortured. Her hands were broken, showing that she had broken them to escape... oh, I had good detective skills. After scanning Batman, I could gain his abilities if I focused on them.

Batman could be considered the number one detective in the world, although my skills didn't match his skills, I could still easily read stuff. As for why I was interested in this woman, my wife little sister, and wife were a huge fan of this woman.

She was called something like Hollow Queen? Harry Queen? Hallow Queen? It was something along those lines. From what I half-assly listened from them, she was... oh, I forgot. Something about toxic relationship, she was a Joker... No, there was someone called the Joker in this world. The Joker was a crazy mad clown, and this woman seemed to be his girlfriend.

I nodded my head in pride, this woman was in a toxic relationship with Joker. She should have tried to escape, leading to the Joker torturing her. She escaped, and here she was... feeling smart was something I took pride in. I mean I was the perfect lifeform.

Now, should I bother with this girl? I thought at the moment if there could be any benefit from this... She was hot. But it was a dick move to help someone out of lust, and expect them to worm yourself into her pants?

"Wow, you're tall. What do you eat? Children? You make that Killer Croc look small." She said weakly, not taking the fact she was dying seriously. This caused me to raise an eyebrow, I scanned her so I knew she wasn't right in the head, but no matter who, anyone would fear death to some degree.

"You don't seem to fear death, the injuries and pain you're feeling don't bother you..." I said with an interested look. This right here was its own unique form of freedom. I walked over to her, and gave her a hand... people don't change overnight, I wasn't a dick. A part of me couldn't help but pity her. Plus, I didn't mind getting to see her outlook on life.

The girl laughed at my words, leaving me wondering just what in all of this was funny. But she took my hand, accepting my help and struggling to her feet. But my help was limited for she was too short. She was 5'6 and I was 7'10.

"You would be better helping me if you picked me up." She said while looking at my hands, shocked by how small her hand looked in comparison.

"Sure," I said while picking her up. She was stunned, not expecting I would. She would be a fool to just put her life in the hands of someone who looked like me. Unlike the Joker, she wasn't completely crazy.

"You need not worry, I'm not a crazy villain who enjoys torturing others or raping others. I take no pleasure in such nonsense." I said lightly... and on that thought, my rage towards Tommy's parents had passed, so I snapped my finger, and back where their homes used to be, the gate to hell opened in the air, and out they came falling, their injuries and burnt body fully healed... See, I wasn't a bad person.

"Although I do have something I want from you," I said with a smile, causing her to look at me in confusion, the unease she had completely gone. She had instantly trusted my words, which left me speechless.

"I'm someone who believes that they are completely free, yet even I hold some fear towards pain and death... yet you're unbothered by such a thing, and instead you're capable of

laughing at it," I said while looking deeply into her eyes.

"I have never seen someone so strong, so I'm interested in your outlook towards life. What do you fear? What are your likes and dislikes?" I asked while looking deeply into her eyes, not wanting her to lie to me... but this came off as different in the girl's eyes.

She looked at me for some time, not knowing how to react. She wanted to speak, but couldn't find the words... in the end, she hugged me, leaving me confused as to why she was

hesitating.

'She is crazy, but not completely gone. On the crazy scale, she would be a 7, but on the hot scale, she would be a 9.' I thought remembering a meme I saw. Something about how Hot a person was, and how crazy they were allowed to be. She could be even more crazy, and it would be alright... at least that's what that scale said. I didn't know if it could be trusted.

But I didn't care for her beauty right now, instead, I was more focused on what it meant to be crazy. What was insanity? Lost in thought, I took my time to return to my apartment, and I returned to a clean place. Although many things had to be thrown out, I will ensure Lex Luthor

repays me.

"I never bothered to learn how to heal," I said lightly while putting her on the couch, before going to get my laptop in my bedroom. Lex Luthor didn't have time to reach my room. Anyway, I went on to start searching up Dragon Ball Healing techniques,

"What are you doing?" She asked in confusion seeing me watching anime

"Learning how to heal," I said calmly, to which she nodded in understanding... and again, I gave her a weird look. This girl was weird, and she was making me feel like the weird one. I sighed, before going on to use the healing technique I just learned on her. She watched in interest, watching the green glow restoring not just her lost energy, but causing the injuries

on her to disappear.

"Alright, pay up. Tell me what I want to know, but first, let me introduce myself, I'm Broly." I said with a frown, not liking the fact it took me so long to recreate the ability to heal. My talent was truly low. It took me 10 seconds to do that.

"I'm Harley Quinn... I don't know what to tell you." She said to which I rolled my eyes in

annoyance.

"What do you fear, why don't you fear death? What is your favorite thing in the world, what do you hate most... and what is it that you live for? What is your drive, and motivation to live?" I asked while Harley simply looked at me,

"n-no one ever cared to ask." She said in a soft voice, leaving me confused... was that what I was asking for? I wanted to throw her out of the window... but I couldn't do that since I would have to fix it. I could have her fix it, but I was sure she didn't have the money.

"What do I fear... I fear a lot of things, I guess I don't fear death since I'm more interested in

what it holds." She said lightly,

***

When was the last time she mumbled on and on, and for someone to truly care for every word she spoke? Harley didn't know, and as she watched Broly giving her his full attention, not caring for anything else... she knew for sure... she was in love. Unlike the Joker who only cared for Batman, and never once truly loved her, she was sure Broly truly loved her. Yes, this man loved her. Why else would he care so much about her?
