Chapter 220 - Hell Blaze
Back inside his room, Khal sat down onto his bed and took out a small crystal that had a yellowish color from his spatial ring before covering his arm with his Diamond Skin and taking out his Inferno Steel.
"Let's see what you can give me." Khal smiled, and without a second thought placed the crystal atop the Inferno Steel, which instantly consumed it.
[Notify! 'Core' detected!]
[Forming 'Power Core'!]
Right after Nova's voice sounded, Khal felt as his hand was sucked onto the steel's surface just like when he created his Stellar Domain, while the Essence inside his body began to move and flow out through his fingers right into the metal.
Meanwhile, the glowing steel in his hand gradually became dimmer and dimmer, and ten minutes later it completely turned dark, almost as if someone just blew off the candle that resided inside it.
['Spirit Essence' depleted!]
[Enough 'Body Essence' used!]
[Creation process succeeded!]
['Power Core' Hell Blaze created!]
Cling!
Khal watched as a shining yellow pebble fell out of the Inferno Steel before his feet, thus quickly picked it up and placed it inside his bracelet.
['Power Core: Hell Blaze' detected!]
['Power Core: Hell Blaze' obtained...]
[Starting 'Fusion'...]
In a flash, the tiny pebble in the bracelet erupted with yellow light while Khal watched as several thin yellowish veins began to move below his skin like slithering snakes!
Sometime later, the light began to dissipate, and Khal could feel as his fourth power finally materialized inside his body!
['Fusion' completed!]
['Sixth Stage: Hell Blaze' active!]
Once Nova finished talking and his body got used to the warm feeling inside his body, Khal raised his hand and activated his Hell Blaze without a second thought.
However, what happened next was completely out of his expectations and his eyes widened with utter disbelief.
BAM!
Almost like detonating a bomb, his arm exploded with yellowish fire while the bed and the items in his very close proximity slowly began to melt while the wooden furnitures caught on fire!
Even Rubie that was close to Khal had to fly far away, almost outside the window as her crimson feather turned dark, indicating it was scorched just by the heat alone!
"Fuck!" Khal cursed out loud and without hesitation deactivated his power.
"Holy... If I don't shut off my power in time, this place would have turned into a sea of flames and boiling mass just in seconds!" mumbled Khal, feeling kind of shocked by his Hell Blaze destructive trait.
He didn't even use it nor attacked anyone with it, yet it still caused such a mess! Then what will happen if he uses it at full capacity? Will he be able to suffocate his enemies just with his heat alone or even worse, turn them to ashes just by a single attack? Khal felt as his body trembled slightly from excitement as he resisted the urge to try it out once again there and then!
'It's better than I have first thought. With this, things will be way easier.' Khal said and once he cleaned and fixed the damages he accidentally caused, again, he left the room with Rubie.

After leaving his room, Khal went straight to find Liza before inviting her to eat together as the last time they did was quite a long time ago.
After going to Lunar Tavern where they ate their fill next to merry chatting, Khal told Rubie to follow Liza for the time being as he is taking care of a few things.
"Where are you going? I hope you plan to do nothing dangerous." Liza said to Khal once she saw as Rubie landed on her shoulder.
"Of course not. I just thought you two should know each other better that's all." Khal smiled, hiding the truth from Liza with a calm complexion.
Because he will start digging his way toward Alde's hideout, he will disguise himself just in case something happens. And because Alde was way too familiar with Rubie and her appearance, if he brings her with him, he will definitely get busted just by a single glance.
Thus, he made sure Rubie remained behind and at least with someone he trusted the most.
Liza raised a brow as he heard Khal's reasoning, but didn't say anything. In fact, when she thought about it more, what Khal said made sense for her as deepening her bond with Rubie was never a disadvantage.
"Okay." nodded Liza and after talking with Khal for a bit more she walked away with Rubie, leaving Khal alone.
And when their figure's vanished in the distance, Khal stopped smiling and turned around to leave.
"Let's get start it."
Leaving Moon Academy, Khal walked inside one of the buildings, and a few seconds later he walked out, but this time his Chameleon Armor was already around his body.
However, to avoid unnecessary attention with his emerald green scales, he turned his armor's appearance into normal, silver-colored steel, as in Moon City tons of people were walking in sets of silver armors.
Once he did, he walked outside the city straight to Shadow Woods, where several Cultivators took a glance at him, all with deep frowns and expressions that held deep disgust. In their eyes, those that wore a full set of armor were no better than cowards that hid behind protection instead of fighting head-on.
Khal obviously felt the disgust-filled gazes on him, but he just simply ignored them and vanished inside the shadows without even taking a single glance at their directions.
He walked in a straight line as his destination was already set, and soon he arrived before a huge gap, that led into an underground cave he was quite familiar with.
It was the gap that led into the Ghost Spider's nest where he and Rubie feasted on the Ghost Spider Eggs way before the Thousand Life Tournament.
After taking a deep breath and glancing around to make sure no one was around, Khal leaped into the air and jumped into the hole.
