Chapter 114: The Indestructible Blood of the Heretic God
Chapter 114: The Indestructible Blood of the Heretic God
"Please, take a seat. We can talk while eating," Yun Wuji said, admiring her flabbergasted expression. He didn't offer any further explanation, merely gesturing to an empty seat.
"Hmph!" Jasmine snorted, behaving like a typical tsundere as she sat down. Her eyes fell on the plate of steak in front of her. She wanted to ignore it, but the mouth-watering aroma kept pulling her attention.
It was like a big, round, nice ass attracting a man, irresistibly calling out to her.
Yun Wuji maintained a calm smile on his face, but inwardly, he breathed a sigh of relief. Although he was confident Jasmine wouldn't attack him, negotiating with a Level 8 Divine Master, even a severely weakened one who couldn't wield even 1% of their power, was still an immense pressure to bear.
He wasn't Yun Che and didn't have the protection of destiny. There was no way he could expect Jasmine to wake up and immediately say something like, 'Oh, you have the Sky Poison Pearl! Alright, I'll be your teacher, give you the super OP Heretic God's veins, teach you some ridiculously overpowered technique, and if you recklessly court death, I'll risk everything to save your sorry ass!'
The fact that she was willing to sit down and share a table with a "lowly mortal" from the lower realms meant he had already overcome the most challenging hurdle.
From the moment Jasmine appeared until now, the entire flow of the conversation had been completely under his control. Despite being a Star God who could effortlessly slap him to death, she was, in the end, just a little girl. He, however, understood her perhaps even better than she understood herself.
"I hope you can forgive me for only offering you this lowly mortal food. Please, enjoy yourself," Yun Wuji said, noticing how she struggled between maintaining her appearance and giving in to the temptation of the meal before her.
"Hmph! This princess will be magnanimous and accept your offer," Jasmine snorted haughtily, not even glancing at him, before immediately taking a bite.
"...!!!" The moment the meat touched her taste buds, her eyes widened in shock, and a surge of warmth spread through her entire body. It was as though every sense ignited at once, the rich, savory flavor exploding in her mouth, stirring something deep within her. Her usual composure shattered, replaced by an unexpected wave of pleasure as she savored the taste, her body tingling with every bite.
'How... how could something be this delicious?!!!' That was the only thought racing through her mind as she devoured the food, each bite sending waves of wonder and delight coursing through her. It was as though she had never tasted anything like it before, every flavor more intense, more perfect than she could have ever imagined.
'Heh, I've spent years perfecting my cooking skills,' Yun Wuji thought with a smirk, watching her intently. 'Anyone who tastes my food became addicted to it, even the Evil Infant can't resist it. So, of course, a little girl like you won't be able to hold back.'
At first, Jasmine had tried to maintain her dignified appearance, but now, she was mirroring the Evil Infant, wolfing down the food with abandon, her earlier composure completely forgotten.
"Cough! This food... cough... wasn't bad," Jasmine quickly muttered after finishing the last piece. Realizing her earlier lapse in manners, she coughed to cover it up, her face flushing slightly as she tried to regain some semblance of dignity.
"Hey! Master's food is the best! How dare you call it 'not bad'?!" The Evil Infant, who had finished eating as well, shot an angry glare at Jasmine. "Hmph! Since you don't like it, I'll tell Master to never give you any again! Hmph!"
"I'll ask Master to give me her portion of the food. Hehe, I'm so smart!" the Evil Infant muttered quietly to herself, a mischievous grin spreading across her face.
"..." Jasmine stared speechlessly at the Sky Poison Pearl's spirit, her mind reeling. 'Is this really the spirit of one of the Seven Heavenly Profound Treasures?!'
"Hmm, let's continue our chat then," Yun Wuji said, ignoring the Evil Infant. He stood up and placed three cups of tea on the table.
"Right! What do you mean by rent?" Jasmine's attention snapped back to him. The combination of his control over the conversation, the heavenly food, and the presence of the Spirit of a Heavenly Treasure had completely disarmed her, leaving her without her usual sharpness or initiative, subconsciously she was following his flow.
The shock and stimulation from it all were overwhelming, even for a Star God like her, one who had inherited the memories of her predecessors.
In fact, even if any other Star God were in her place, they wouldn't have fared any better.
"From now on, until you purify the poison plaguing you, you'll be living in my body and using my Sky Poison Pearl. So, naturally, you need to pay," Yun Wuji said, taking a casual sip from his tea cup as he explained. Seeing the wonderful expressions on her face, he added with a warm smile, "Don't worry, little miss, I'm a very generous man. I won't ask you to repay me for saving your life that night."
Hearing his words, Jasmine's expression froze. She wanted to say something, but upon hearing his last remark, she swallowed her retort. With a resigned sigh, she finally spoke, "Hmph! Since this princess is using you to recover, I will naturally repay you."
"You have my thanks then. By the way, I still haven't gotten your name, little miss," Yun Wuji said, setting down his teacup as he properly introduced himself. "I am Yun Wuji, the de facto
ruler of this planet."
"Jasmine," Jasmine drank the tea and replied with a cold tone. She was feeling uncomfortable with how this progressed.
In her mind, she would have forced this guy into submission. Whether he willingly surrendered the Sky Poison Pearl or not, he would be groveling at her feet. And given his extraordinary talent, a peak Monarch at just 19 in this dirty lower realm, she would reluctantly accept him as her disciple and make him work to collect the materials she needed to reconstruct her body.
However, from the very first moment of their meeting, she had an unsettling feeling that she was being led by him all along, which filled her with intense frustration.
The most frustrating thing was that she couldn't do anything to him!
He wasn't a weak mortal like Yun Che, someone she could crush underfoot without even using her profound energy. This man was at the peak of the Monarch realm, and though she only needed a tiny portion of her power to suppress him, doing so would trigger a rebound from the poison, making it not worth the risk.
Yun Che got to see her naked pussy when she stepped on him, so it was a fair deal for him. She rose from her seat and hovered above Yun Wuji, her posture exuding arrogance. In a haughty tone, she declared, "Hmph! You saved this princess' life, so this princess shall indeed repay you. Promise to fulfill two conditions for this princess, and in return, this princess will immediately give you the most valuable thing she currently possesses."
'Did she purposely fly up just to look down on me? How childish,' Yun Wuji thought, shaking his head inwardly. Though he disliked looking up at others, he decided to be generous this
time and let it slide.
Once she finished speaking, Yun Wuji put on a solemn expression and asked, "Can you first tell me what these two conditions are that I must promise you, and also, what is this 'most
valuable item' you're offering?"
"Hmph! You should count yourself lucky. The thing this princess is willing to give you is something I risked my life to obtain. It's also the very reason why this princess was hunted down and infected by this terrifying poison," Jasmine replied, her eyes turning colder. Unconsciously, her killing intent seeped out as the memories of what happened resurfaced. Jasmine slowly raised her right hand, her thin and delicate index finger pointing toward the sky. From her fingertip, a dark-red, water-like droplet began to emerge, radiating a faint yet ominous glow. It rose steadily, enveloped in a shimmering aura of an eerie light until it hovered just above her fingertip.
"This?" Yun Wuji's eyes were fixed on the drop of blood as he asked, pretending to be
surprised.
"Three hundred years ago, someone discovered an ancient book while exploring a dangerous ruin from the Ancient Era. The book recorded a message: 'In the Primordial Era, there existed a true god, known as the 'Heretic God.' He was the last of the gods to remain after the fall of the Era of the Gods. His downfall marked the true end of that era. And in the moments before his fall, the Heretic God left behind a droplet of Indestructible blood, a powerful essence embodying his source of power...' "If one could acquire this drop of Indestructible blood and infuse it into their body, their Profound Veins would be able to awaken the power of the Heretic God!"Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"Many people quickly gained knowledge about this record; the words 'Power of the True God' were irresistibly alluring to everyone. Many began a frenzied search for the Heretic God's blood. For centuries, there were no results. It wasn't until a month ago that the location of the Heretic God's downfall was uncovered. Countless individuals rushed to claim whatever remnants of the god might remain. In the chaos, the legendary 'Indestructible Blood of the Heretic God' was discovered, sparking a mad scramble. But in the end, it was I who claimed
it."
"So, they chased you because you possessed the Blood of the Heretic God?" Yun Wuji asked, listening to her story. It seemed like either she still hadn't realized it was all part of a plot against her, or she simply didn't think it was necessary to mention that detail. "Hmph, daring to snatch this princess's possession, it's like they were begging for death!" Jasmine's eyes gleamed with malice as she spoke with palpable hatred. "Only after obtaining the Blood of the Heretic God did I realize that the power hidden within it was nothing like I had expected. There wasn't even a hint of divine power! Instead, if one infused it into their body, it would forcibly alter the structure and attributes of their Profound Veins. Worse still, it would erase all the profound energy painstakingly cultivated in their original veins, leaving them with nothing! Everything would have to start over from scratch! That's all it does! And after that, the profound strength would still need to be rebuilt, step by step!"
Holding the droplet of blood, Jasmine fixed her gaze on Yun Wuji and spoke deliberately, "For someone like me, sacrificing all of my current powers just to integrate this Heretic God's blood is a price I cannot afford to pay. However, your situation is different. Even though you've reached the Peak of the Monarch Realm, starting over with these newly forged profound veins could bring you immense benefits. Considering your current level of cultivation and your young age, achieved on such a barren planet, it wouldn't take long for you to recover your strength. In fact, with these veins, you might even surpass your current limits and step onto the divine way with ease."
"So, what do you think? Are you willing?" Jasmine asked after finishing her explanation. Hovering above Yun Wuji, she looked down at him with a haughty demeanor.
There's quite a bit of info dump, so I decided to extend this chapter a little.
