Chapter 1179: Spirit Summoning
Chapter 1179: Spirit Summoning
Beyond the Asura Blood Gate was a crimson world with bursts of formidable bloodline power fluctuations surging out from within.
Han Li could see that the crimson world was completely filled with liquid-like crimson light that contained unimaginably potent bloodline power, over ten times more potent than that of the blood pond in the altar inside the Scalptia Spatial Domain
All of the people on the plaza could sense these incredibly potent bloodline power fluctuations, and looks of excitement and yearning surfaced in their eyes.
"The opening of the Asura Blood Gate is a rare opportunity. All of you gathered on the plaza right now may enter," Bai Ze declared, then led the way through the gate.
A chorus of thunderous cheers rang out from everyone on the plaza, and they immediately followed Bai Ze through the gate.
The tribes that had directly descended from the eight ancient True Spirit Kings were the first ones to enter through the gate behind Bai Ze, but as opposed to following her Heavenly Fox tribesmen through the gate, Liu Le'er was looking at Han Li with her brows slightly furrowed.
"Rest assured, Young Mistress Le'er, His Majesty has permitted Fellow Daoist Han to enter the gate, so he'll be coming in as well," Fox 3 reassured, and Liu Le'er gave him a faint smile upon hearing this, then stepped into the Asura Blood Gate.
Fox 3 turned to take a glance at Han Li, then followed along behind her.
The tribes gathered on the plaza entered the Asura Blood Gate one by one in order of power and status, and Han Li didn't want to irk any of the tribes, so he only entered the Asura Blood Gate after everyone else had already gone in.
Due to the fact that Bai Ze had already permitted Han Li to enter the gate, no one dared to say anything, in spite of their clear displeasure at Han Li's presence.
Some of the primordial beings were observing Han Li with clear wariness and animosity in his eyes, but Han Li paid them no heed.
Inside the Asura Blood Gate was a massive space, the entire ground of which seemed to consist of moving, bright red flesh. The entire area was filled with crimson mist, but there was no bloody odor in the air at all. Instead, there was a refreshing scent in the air, and with each inhalation, everyone was struck by a sense of reinvigoration, as if they had been fed some type of energy tonic.
Hovering above the crimson space was a blanket of crimson clouds that were giving off incredibly potent bloodline aura fluctuations, and they were very similar to the Sulfurous Flame Blood Clouds in the Scalptia Spatial Domain.
This was not what Han Li had expected to see at all, and he couldn't help but sweep his gaze over his surroundings in an intrigued manner.
All of the younger primordial beings present were also looking around with surprise and wonder in their eyes, but the older primordial beings, such as Liu Qing, were looking far more composed, as if they had already been here in the past. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Bai Ze continued onward without pause, and everyone else hurriedly followed along.
The group quickly made their way deep into the crimson space, arriving in a spacious area where the ground was very flat and level, resembling a crimson plaza.
Standing on the plaza were eight massive, crimson stone pillars that extended all the way up into the crimson clouds above. A giant, majestic beast was engraved onto each of the pillars, and they depicted none other than the eight True Spirit Kings.
The reliefs of the eight True Spirit Kings were extremely vivid and life-like, and they were all giving off tremendous auras like living beings, as if they could spring to life and emerge from the stone pillars at any moment.
Furthermore, there was a dark red brazier embedded into each pillar, but aside from the stone pillars belonging to Bai Ze, the Sky Roaming Kun Peng, and the Rahu, the braziers in all of the stone pillars had been snuffed out.
All of the primordial beings gathered around near the eight stone pillars, then knelt down and kowtowed to the reliefs of the eight True Spirit Kings.
Griefstricken looks appeared on the faces of all of the Qing Ape, Zouwu, Mountain Moving Ape, and Heavenly Fox beings as they knelt down and wept in front of the stone statues belonging to the Zhuyan, the Taowu, the Giant Mountain Ape, and the Nine Tailed Immortal Fox.
Xiao Bai had also arrived in front of the Ink-Eyed Pixiu pillar with tears swimming in his eyes, while Han Li was looking completely out of place, so he quietly distanced himself from everyone.
He looked at the potent bloodline power in the surrounding area, and as he secretly channeled his Heavenly Baleful Purgatory Arts, bursts of heat instantly began to spread through his entire body.
Before long, several unopened profound acupoints had begun to stir, but with so many primordial beings present, he didn't dare to act too blatantly, so he could only absorb the bloodline power in the surrounding environment in a surreptitious manner.
At the same time, he was also observing the eight crimson stone pillars up ahead.
Bai Ze's cultivation base was completely unfathomable to him, so he had to have been a Dao Ancestor. Given that the eight True Spirit Kings were all presumably roughly on par in power, the other True Spirit Kings were most likely also Doa Ancestors.
This was a reflection of the primordial land's immense power, and it was unclear whether there were any more Dao Ancestors in the primordial land outside of the eight True Spirit Kings.
After waiting for a short while, Bai Ze said, "I understand your grief at the passing of the True Spirit Kings, but this is the stark reality that we must accept. The Asura Blood Gate will only be open for a limited time, so all of you must collect yourselves to focus on summoning the bloodlines of the True Spirit Kings."
All of the primordial beings present immediately composed themselves and rose to their feet, then quickly sat down with their legs crossed around their tribes' stone pillars.
Due to the fact that Bai Ze was already here, there was no need for him to be summoned, so Lekima was standing together with him.
The Ink-Eyed Pixiu only had a single descendant in the form of Xiao Bai, so he was the only one at his pillar, cutting a rather lonesome figure, and Han Li's brows furrowed slightly upon seeing this.
"Fellow Doiast Han," Lekima greeted as he flew over to Han Li's side, and Han Li nodded silently in response.
Lekima could see the concern in Han Li's eyes, and he smiled as he reassured, "Don't worry, Fellow Daoist Han, there's no danger associated with summoning the True Spirit King bloodlines."
Han Li was still a little concerned, and he said, "Xiao Bai is all on his own. I'm worried that he won't be able to stand up to the other tribes."
"Don't worry, summoning the True Spirit King bloodlines doesn't depend on numbers. Xiao Bai may be only one person, but he's the son of the Ink-Eyed Pixiu True Spirit King, which means that he possesses the most potent regal bloodline out of everyone, so things will only be easier for him than everyone else," Lekima reassured.
"Is that right?" Han Li asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"Just wait and see," Lekima said with a confident smile.
As soon as his voice trailed off, all of the primordial beings present slit their own wrists with their fingers, but the blood that came flowing out of the gashes didn't reach the ground.
Instead, they hovered in mid-air, forming a series of crimson marks that rapidly intertwined to create a complex, crimson array that encompassed all of the stone pillars within it.
A series of crimson patterns also appeared on the stone pillars, flashing and resonating with the crimson array.
Even though Xiao Bai was only his own, he had also drawn a crimson array with his own blood, and it was glowing far brighter than all of the other arrays.
Meanwhile, Bai Ze conjured up seven identical projections of himself, and each of them appeared beside the brazier embedded in one of the seven stone pillars.
The Bai Ze projections beside the Zhuyan, Taowu, Giant Mountain Ape, Nine Tailed Immortal Fox, and Ink-Eyed Pixiu stone pillars pointed a finger at their respective braziers, and a golden flame was instantly ignited within all of the braziers in unison.
All of the primordial beings present were powering the crimson arrays above them with all their might, and the arrays were radiating dazzling, crimson light, while the golden flames also grew brighter and brighter.
Right at this moment, the five Bai Zes began chanting in unison, and the golden flames beside them began to flicker in a rhythmic fashion.
Rings of crimson and golden light proliferated outward one after another before fusing into the nearby space.
The Lightning Bird Tribe and the Huntun Tribe didn't require Bai Ze's assistance to ignite their primordial flames, and they had also begun operating their crimson arrays.
Rings of crimson and golden light that were invisible to the naked eye continued to rapidly proliferate outward, spreading over all of the immortal regions and major realms to broadcast a summoning signal.
"It'll take some time to summon the bloodlines, so we're in for a bit of a wait. What are your plans after the blood inheritance ceremony, Fellow Daoist Han?" Lekima asked.
Han Li was still secretly absorbing the potent bloodline power in the air while keeping an eye on Xiao Bai as a conversation ensued between him and Lekima.
Before long, close to a day had flown by.
Right at this moment, the space above the stone pillar beside Xiao Bai began to flash, and specks of white light emerged before slowly revolving around the golden flame at the top of the pillar.
"Is that the True Spirit King bloodline?" Han Li asked with an intrigued expression.
The white light was imbued with extremely potent true spirit bloodline power that was very similar to Xiao Bai's bloodline, but was far more regal.
"That's right. The fact that Xiao Bai was able to summon the True Spirit King bloodline before everyone else indicates that he does indeed possess the purest bloodline out of everyone," Lekima replied with a nod.
More and more specks of white light began to emerge, and they came together to form a projection of a white beast that was quite similar in appearance to Xiao Bai, but there was a far more majestic and authoritative air about it.
What was particularly eye-catching was the vertical eye on the projection's glabella, which was giving off rays of peculiar black light.
The same black light appeared in Xiao Bai's eyes as he observed the projections, and a hint of elation appeared on Bai Ze's face upon seeing this.
After Xiao Bai's successful summoning of the Ink-Eyed Pixiu true spirit bloodline, the other primordial tribes also began to find success one after another.
Specks of gray light began to emerge from the space above the Heavenly Fox Tribe's stone pillar, and even speck of light was giving off formidable bloodline power.
These specks of gray light quickly converged to form a projection of a Nine Tailed Immortal Fox, and the Heavenly Fox beings were ecstatic to see this.
Among the Heavenly Fox beings present, a layer of gray light had also appeared over Liu Le'er's body, and a series of gray patterns had also appeared over the exposed parts of her skin, resonating with the Nine Tailed Immortal Fox projection in the air.
Liu Qing's eyes were glowing with excitement at the sight of the changes that had taken place on Liu Le'er's body.
Shortly thereafter, True Spirit King projections also appeared above the stone pillars of the Qing Ape, Zouwu, and Mountain Moving Ape Tribes, much to the elation of the three tribes, but the stone pillars of the Huntun and Lightning Bird Tribes remained unresponsive.
What do you think?
